Maria is a demon, she was born in hell. She left thousands of years ago, taking the form of a pixie until she was strong enough to possess a human vessel. When a human is possessed by a demon, after a while they begin to take on the traits of the demon possessing them, in Maria's case, her choppy white hair, bright icy blue eyes and tall height. They can also heal themselves at will, however it drains allot of magic and energy that can take months, to regain. Maria, being an emotionless being is generally too lazy to fix her human, which leads to occasional collapses.
During the early 21st century, Maria met a girl called Rosemary. Both her parents had been murdered and she was currently stuck living in a vampire estate, and had just escaped. Rosemary, who was forced to become a vampire on her 16th birthday, joined Maria, to help destroy the demons who were tormenting the lives of humans. After Rosemary met a frightened young girl in an art gallery, she too joined the group. However this girl, Lily, was being haunted by a horrible demon, known as Him. Causing sleep paralysis and horrible nightmares to the girl, Maria and Rosemary swore to protect her, while keeping the horrible things that were happening to her a secret.
