Myrna

First Love

Myrna was Yukira's first love, and the one that truly taught her that being herself was not something to be ashamed of. Myrna originated from a kingdom to the west of Arachia, but was sold by her parents to work as a prostitute when she was quite young, around 12-13. She holds no ill will towards them, her family was struggling and it was an opportunity both for her to get out of a situation where she would have likely starved and relieve her family in some way.

The true work didn't begin until she was around 16, her early years mostly involving learning from the older prostitues while acting more of a young page or simply decoration. But as soon as she became old enough she became a popular feature at the brothel, one of the few non-Arachians of the establishment, and was touted as an exotic beauty for the first few years of her work. She came to enjoy it for what it was- she was good at it, and she was comfortable, though the job did entail its own dangers.

As it happens, the brothel was in need of a new guard, as the last one had a major problem with drinking and showing up for his duties. The owner found Yukira ideal as he didn't think she would take advantage of the girls due to her gender. And truthfully she wouldn't, it was not in her nature to take advantage, and she only wished to do the job well- she was still largely in hiding at this point, and this was the first job she had taken where she hadn't hidden that she was female.

Myrna was there on her first day, and as she was want to do with all the new hires, she flirted a bit to test Yukira out, not expecting anything. But seeing the redness spread across Yukira's face and ears was all Myrna needed to know. She teased Yukira when she got the chance, but Yukira did her best to kindly refute her advances, not wanting to risk her position as guard.

At least until the night of the attack

One night a customer decided to go to far, and Yukira rushed to save Myrna from him. Once he was kicked out of the establishment, Myrna pulled her in for a kiss, their first kiss. There was no denying it at this point, but Yukira pulled them apart and bandaged Myrna up, again trying to stop Myrna's advances. But unwilling to leave her alone at the same time, Yukira stayed the night, and they both knew that there was no denying the feelings they had developed for each other

Their relationship began to bloom, though it had to remain in secret, not that other girls didn't know what was going on. Yukira had not been with someone so experienced, both in love and the world around her, for Myrna was able to learn much through her variety of clients. Yukira wished to take her away, so she no longer had to do this job, but Myrna was still content to do what she was good at, accustomed to the level of comfort the job came with. So Yukira stayed, happy for a time with her love, until they were both discovered.

One of Myrna's clients exposed them, and immediately Yukira was fired and Myrna sent to a different, smaller establishment across the country. Yukira never found out what ever happened to Myrna, and regrets not being able to provide the life she felt her first love truly deserved. Links for Writing
