Feels strongly for the freedom and rights of everybody. They are so uncomfortable with allowing their feelings to control their actions that in situations where they are overcome with emotion they are more likely to make non-sensical and chaotic decisions or be avoidant. Despite this, they have a sunny, friendly and cheeky disposition which makes them instantly loved by most aemu they meet. Unfortunately they're more likely to let people down once they get close - that is, aside from Qin.
Bokan came to join the Terra clan some years prior to the start of the story. They befriended Qin and their family, gifting Qin a chamine that they named Ruska. The Terra clan don't tend to take stragglers under their wings without direct connection (such as marriage) to a current member, but the elders permitted Bokan to join on account of being a fine blacksmith. Since Bokan set up in town, their shop has become the pride of Terra. Bokan finds it irritating how high in regard the elders hold them as the privilege doesn't seem fair, but they use it to their advantage and do the bare minimum required to get by. Bokan is quiet about their life before joining the clan, instead preferring to live in the present and do the best they can day-by-day.
Bokan and Qin are practically inseparable. Qin's seriousness and shyness is offset by Bokan's quirky nature. There's almost never a point where they aren't immediately happy to see each other. Sometimes it feels like Bokan doesn't want to leave Qin be, but they would never disregard boundaries that Qin sets. It's a relationship built on respect and care.
Woofe and Bokan seem to tolerate each other. They have an unspoken agreement to not argue, especially not around Qin and Inky. But there is a quiet hate between them. Bokan tries to be friendly, and although Woofe is never outwardly rude to them, the effort doesn't seem to be returned.
Bokan is torn about Ketcha, on one hand, they seem pretty chill. They seem like fun and have a great sense of humour. On the other hand, it is in their nature to be unsure about Qin making new friends. Bokan will tell you they simply care about their friend getting hurt - but it is definitely more than that. Maybe they're jealous? Or is it another concern...
Bokan does love to wind Tuulin up. They're the one who can get Tuulin out of being so serious. Secretly, they are best friends. When it comes down to it, though, Bokan will suck it up and stand beside Tuulin with a mirroring solemnity. Together they are formidable.
