The Great Loss took her parents from her, she was lost in a forest where Gladiolus found her. He took her in, until the found her parents. Many moon cycles passed when it was learned that Mia's parents perished. Though they never found out how, nevertheless Gladiolus and his mate Carmine took her in officially adopting her. She found an outlet for her grieving, writing and reading poetry in time it was her new passion. Gladiolus gave her a glowing gem which was fashioned into a necklace. Using to read past her bed time and feeling safe in a secure environment.

Mia, is a shy tentative spinner. Often finding her self attracted to other grottolings, or places without a real reason. Has a hard time explaining herself. She has very few friends she can be adventurous occasionally which worries her fathers. Her love of books, scrolls, and writing is seen gained from being around Gladiolus so long. Though instead of the crazy theories, she reads morbid fiction, and romances with evil twist and turns. Instead of writing crazier theories, she writes meaningful poetry.

She's rather introverted, it's best not to approach her in a over bearing in her face sort of way. She'll likely to not go near you again. She has a tendency to ramble about poetry if you let her. Mia would never read you or show you any of her poems, feeling that they are a part of her. It's like exposing a deep dark secret that could change everything. She is quite caring, sometimes too caring, which she gets from her Father Carmine. If you have a problem and its affecting you quite a bit she will try and do anything to help fix. A young mom friend of sorts.
