Fortune is a stoic xero, who often says things as she sees them. Generally, they lack a soft touch in their approach, and are quick to slap others down with plainly worded observations. She’s pragmatic, to a fault, and as such she can appear to be quite a bitch, but her no-punches bluntness lacks any real malicious or mean-spirited edge.

She‘s calm even in the worst of times, which can come off as being apathetic, but truthfully she cares quite a lot. Born with a weak heart, Fortune needed multiple surgeries to ensure her survival, and as such she grew up in lab care.

Within the group home she met Karma, and the two of them get on like true siblings do. Even in his worst moments, Fortune cares for him deeply, though he pisses her off like nobody‘s business sometimes. She’s one of the only people who are able to ground him with ease, save Huckleberry, who Fortune also considers to be a pseudo-father or uncle figure for his role in saving Karma’s life.

Fortune works professionally as a hazard cleaner, though she went to school for forensics. After the incident that took Karma’s arm, she realized that her strong stomach could be put to use doing a job that the general public would shy away from.
