Profile

== YOZELLIN ==

A retired combat support golem, currently under the care of meister Lala Q.

"An old golem that has been wounded in battle. The cracks on his golem crystal couldn't be repaired anymore, and so he was pulled back from the frontlines. He still wishes to be of help, however, and took a part-time job at Yozellin National Library."

Abandoned by his previous meister, Chesria was left with the Academy's training workshop after being deemed irreparable, following a recon mission gone awry. During the mission, he took a blow he took to his head that left him badly damaged, and sightless, marred by deep cracks running across his face. While a newer golem could have been salvaged from this easily, given the age of his crystal and his prior damage across the years, it was agreed that attempting that final deconstruction may have caused him to shatter. With Chesria no longer able to perform his usual duties, the meister had no use for him, and abandoned him there.

Chesria was later taken into the care of Miss Lavanya Q, an eccentric old meister and frequent benefactor of the Academy. Her granddaughter, Ellia, a student and apprenctice at the repair shop, alerted her to the golem's plight, and Miss Lala, never one to turn down a troubled case, came to his rescue. Ches was happy to find a home with his new meister, who has seen to his basic repairs and maintanance, and secured him a position as an assistant at the Yozellin National Library.

There is frequent doubt about his ability to function in a place where the materials are purely visual, but his analytical features allow him limited sight, just at the ends of his fingertips. His hands and his ears are his eyes, and he does whatever he can to make himself of use.

Due to his childlike appearance, Ches is often perceived as naive, but he is far from it. He is open, with a kind demeanor. Once sensitive about his lack of vision, he has since come to terms with it, and will even joke about it in conversation. His sole limitations lie in his meager strength, and his lapses of memory. He was never very strong, but his knowledge and powers of memorization were always top-notch. Since his injury, however, he is sometimes quite forgetful, finding gaps in his memories, both long-term and short, which won't fill themselves back in until much later. He refuses to let this shortcoming hinder or demotivate him, however.

Miss Lala is quite proud of her charge, and considers Chesria her own child. Anyone with ill will towards him will surely find themselves in dire straits, faster than you can say 'oakwood'...
