Profile

Species: Le volé, { the stolen }
Average size: an adult is usually around 4'0" minimum up to 7'0" max , the average weight is around 225 to 375 pounds.
Aging: they age faster than a human, at five years old one is considered a teenager, and at ten they are an adult. if well kept up, the aging process stagnates after ten as the soul is able to repair itself easily now that it is at full strength. one becomes an elder at year 100, where the soul is no longer able to heal itself properly.
Physical traits: volé's most common traits are long deer-like legs, big fuzzy club arms, and a canine-like head. their neck is always missing the skin and muscle due to how they are created. some have been known to cover the area with scarves or artificial fluff. there fur pattern and colors are practically unlimited, it simply depends on what their makers want. their mechanical face screen can display a wide range of symbols and emotions, in full control of the volé.
Internal traits: Volé are made of mechanical parts covered in flesh and a downy soft coating of fur. they are able to process organic materials to feed the muscular system and give their mechanics energy to move, this is done through a biofuel engine as there stomach though they have been seen using a smelter in the case of vampire's so it is likely this engine can be replaced by any power source and be able to sustain them.
Soul Manipulation: they can manipulate the intense energy within any living creature's soul, this energy is very valuable to them, they can feed on it to heal themselves as well as use it to create a new kit soul. they can rip the soul from any living creature, this captured soul can be also used to make a kit while retaining attributes of its original owner and putting them on the kit. essentially a body swap of sorts. there is no way to reverse this process.
a kit has no real soul abilities, it takes at least five years to gain enough strength to manipulate small soul energies, or a full ten to gain full control.
Species reproduction: Volé does not breed. they have been known to fall in love and even become partners, but they reproduce very differently. this is actually by building the 'kit' manually. the new kit is sewn with fabric, the body, excluding the head is made up of the mechanical system inside and a layer of stuffing and fabric of the parent's choice. the head is entirely mechanical and is added last, it is where the soul is held. they can use a captured soul or a created soul, and use their manipulation abilities to bring the plush kit to life. during the process the soul burns the fabric, making it into functioning muscle. this burning process will always melt the fabric away wherever the soul touches directly. while the head where it settles is encased in metal and cannot melt. the path it takes is ushually what you see as a skeleton. kits are the only case where this has a chance of not happening at all depending on parent's experience level in soul manipulation.

Tendencies: they are generally solitary but small, four to five-member packs have been known to form. there is usually an elected leader in the pack, which can be of any pronoun.
as they do not breed, they do not have genders but have picked up the pronoun idea from humans.

History: the first Volé to exist was created by humans in the country of France. they were originally engineered to be exterminators to pests such as deer overpopulation. however, when the idea was promoted other humans found the idea would be better used elsewhere, and edited the design to serve humans as butlers and pets. the introduction of the creatures didn't go over well. these creatures ended up being rather attractive to spirits due to the materials used in making them. spirits souls left over after death {ghosts} would become curious about them, but fuse with the body if touched, trapping them inside. they were able to control the body with there soul inside of it and used it to do as they pleased. this ended with many cases of the volé murdering people, as well as deceased loved ones reuniting. the temperament of the volé was generally up to how the spirit acted in life. this is also where the name came from, as the human inventor was upset that his creations had become killers he renamed them "the stolen".
the ability to create more volé was discovered by a pet class volé. their owners were known to sell plushies that they created, and when the pet volé started playing with the plushies they discovered it was able to bring the plush to life for a few moments before it burned up completely. it took years of tinkering before the formula was perfected and the first volé kit was born.
