TAR
KNOWLEDGE IS KEY
meticulous • emotionless • curious • rigorous
Being a scientist and researcher isn't supposed to mean you can heal wounds, but when knowledge is rare in said field and you are the closest to understanding how parasites' bodies work...
Well, you end up with a cold scientist as a medic.

"Come on now, I just want to learn..."
design notes
- Tar has 5 fingers on each hand but two of them are thumbs on either side, giving him extra dexterity and a very strong grasp/hold that is very hard to break away from
- Arms are disproportionately long
trivia
- "Lab coat" is actually extra resistant and serves as battle armor
- Rarely leaves his lab
- It would be unwise to consider him a lab nerd - Tar is a very efficient fighter like any other parasites, and his specialty in research does not mean he skips battle training
- No one likes being treated by him for any kind of wounds and/or issues, and he doesn't like doing it either - if he could, he would relegate all the medical aspects of his duties to the nurses
- It is rare for Lambda and Tar to spend time with other parasites outside of their respective duties, but when they do, they are often seen together. It's a real mystery among the troops what these two can discuss about or even gain from hanging out together

personality
Tar's desperate devotion towards Sworm is a little embarassing. He has a tendency to be a little over the top when it comes to responding to her commands, which some jealous minds consider acts of sucking up to their commander.
In truth, Sworm ultimately decides the finances allocated to Tar's researches, and he's quite obsessed with his work, so he does what he has to do to stay on Sworm's good side in order to get the funds for his projects.
So they're not wrong, really.
They hate each other but are often forced to collaborate by Sworm's orders. Pénurie holds the mechanical knowledge and expertise needed to create hardware, but without Tar's understanding of their biology, there would be no compatibility possible between Parasites' weaponry and themselves.
Hence their need to join forces to make technology advance for their species.
When they both get into their nerd mindsets and forget they despise each other, it's possible to see them interact somewhat normally and even, sometimes, with the gullible excitement of researchers making a scientific breakthrough.
