About
Ren was part of an initiative to establish a new settlement in Angstrom, as leader of the defensive force. Which was supposed to be a more exciting job than it actually was, since the bandits wouldn't step foot in dragon territory, and the dragons apparently didn't deem these NEW humans to be a threat for whatever reason.
Actually, over time wariness between them and the big lizards degraded. The dragons were curious, and wanted to know what the humans were up to. The humans, are humans and LOV A ANIMAL, and throwing scraps of food or makeshift balls around for the dragons to run after was Prime Entertainment.
Their lack of ability to speak human made it hard to tell at first, but eventually it became apparent that dragons are Intelligent Creatures. Like people-level intelligent. Which was mostly cool and novel until it was inconvenient for the leadership when tension started to develop about 'just HOW MUCH of our territory are you taking, exactly?'
Long story short there was a big fight about it, Ren defected from the military to fucc a dragon, had a baby, and has been living in the wilds w/ her new lizard family for over 2 decades.
Personality & Outlook
Has a light coating of that signature Angstromi Depression™. Pretty serious? Doesn't want to be a downer, but also just doesn't appreciate humor as much as the average person.
Kinda comes off as an ass-kisser sometimes because she takes shitty jobs a lot, but really she just loves a challenge and is easily bored, and there's nothing better than being able to do something nobody else can(or rather....would prefer not to). A bit of a daredevil, despite considering herself cautious & suspicious.

| To be honest she's kinda upset at Tevyn for deciding to go live among humans. I mean she's glad they didn't settle in Angstrom, so are less likely to end up in some lab somewhere, but she's still just dreading the day she has to go rescue Tev from some mad scientist. Aesthetic
Function over form, lots of greys & silvers. Combines her old military gear with scavenged/scratch-made stuff to fill in practical gaps. Wears furs over her uniforms, patches her tent with whatever shitty game leather she can finagle into existence. Switches between guns & bows. RAW MEAT & BLOODIED HANDS, THAT'S HOW WE DO IN DRAGONLAND.
Trivia
• An orphan who joined the military because her only other option was mining coal
• Possibly the least-picky eater in the world, Regularly consumes raw meat & insects, will take her chances on expired foods/just pick the moldy bits off before chowing down.
• Tries to clean up when she's on a rare trip to civilization but really just finds wiping the mud off to be a chore when she's just gonna be in the mud again in a few hours. Also her skin is just sensitive to a lot of cleaners she's used & she prefers to be covered in grime rather than rashes
