Taina

Taina spends more of her time in the flora around the Terran  tunnels, documenting and examining the plants. She'll take the clippings  back with her with her Darter Companion. Nocturne, part of the research  hive. Taina is just very happy to help. She is often seen helping those  around her. But mostly she's seen aiding Viviana the most. She was the  one there when Viviana lost her sister and was the mother Viviana never  had as an orphan. From Viviana's depression she struggles to motivate  from day to day. This is when Taina wakes her up, treating he to her  favorite food. It works Taina is able to keep a light of happiness in  Viviana.

If you were to ask Taina "Why" you wouldn't get an answer. I makes her panic a while to speak of it.

Her  parents both in their 50s now, are still very hung up and salty about  the spider war. Drilling in to her mind that spinners are evil  untrustworthy, and murderers. She believed it, she truly did. They  sheltered her and warped her mind into what suited them. She was never  allowed to leave her home with out them saying so. Which was never. When  she was 8-10 she snuck out one night and creeped about. went to the  squared seeing spinners, terrans, and wysps interacting with each other.  The grottos culture was a shock, she ran back home wishing she never  had gone out. Her parents found out about it and harshly punished her.  She was there a while longer until she was 18 or so when, her warped  parents kicked her out. Claiming she had it better than them etc. Taina  wondered around unsure how to start a converstation. The first terran  that met her and helped her was Viviana(12) and Alice(6). Show Taina  love and kindness in a way she had never seen. She bursted into tears  out of releif? Happiness? Gratitude? She didn't know, she wasn't allowed  to cry around her parents, it was a sign of weakness. Viviana more or  less helped Taina understand that what she was told is not the truth.  Spinners are sketchy but not out right evil. For the next four years  Viviana Helped Taina readjust or relearn the grotto through orphan eyes.  

Taina finally loved the grotto she lived in. She fell in love  with plant life as she would wonder around examining the details of each  specimen. Thus finding her job of and Rare Plant Gatherer. Then The  event happened, Alice got lost in the cave and killed by the spinner  trap. Taina saw the hatred in Viviana's eyes when she proclaimed her  hate for spinners. She couldn't idle by in this time. She did what she  could. Taina was all Viviana had, Taina was the shoulder to cry on, the  support system, and did all she could to help and still does to this  day.

Opinions on other species:

Spinners: What her parents  drilled into her mind was faint and lingered, but she gave them benefit  of a doubt. Mostly avoids them though.

Wysps: Never really nears them, although she tries to talk with them, respectfully.

Skimmer:  Water. Nope She hates water and skimmers are usually near water and  smell of water. But if she needs to talk to one she'll be respectful  about it.

Darters: Often visits Nocturne of the research hive. Deleviering her plant findings.

Lashers: "La- whats?" She hasn't heard of or seen these.

Dawnweavers: She hasn't really heard too much about them except what was read in history books.
