Backstory:

No one knows how, but Caspian was born to a beautiful surface merman and a deepwater anglerfish mermaid. All of his life he was cast out and hidden in the dark waters of the ocean. His mother was a scary woman, with vengeance and strife. However, she was very protective of him and loved him dearly. Secretly, he would go up to the surface during night and storms just to see what it looked like. 

During a very heavy storm, a young pirate fell off her boat and into the murky water, where she got attacked by sharks. Miraculously, Caspian was at the surface and rescued her, swimming her to a beach shore.

Since then, he and Maxwell had been close friends. He visits her in the surface often, however, they have to keep it hidden from the other pirates.

Bio: 

Caspian is Maxwell's best merfriend. He's shy, sensitive, but very loyal. He saved his pirate friend from drowning, and they've been buddies ever since. He admires her attitude and confidence, as he lacks it. Caspian is a mix between an angler fish and surface mermaid, and he was hidden in the dark ocean all of his life, but he sneaks up to the surface sometimes.
