Skills and Personality

Skills: Her Intelligence (She once had the flexibility that helped with her cheerleading, but she’s been out of practice for years)

Powers: None

Fighting Style: None

Story: Michiko Hato was born in Aquinous, alongside her twin sister Misaki. Growing up, Michiko tended to like expressing herself creatively, through art or trying to sing alongside her sister. Though she soon got interested in cheerleading from how happy and chipper the ones she saw in the movies from the human world, and seeing some of them “performing” at school events.

She kept practicing and working on her flexibility until she entered high school, where she got accepted into the cheerleading group. Over time, she bonded with some of her teammates and it was quite common for her to gossip or just hang out around them.

Though it all changed when years later, Mitsarugi got an interest in her and asked her out. While they were dating Mitarugi ended up slowly manipulating her so that not only would she focus more overtime on him, but also change her to be a woman he much preferred. This slowly broke the bond she had with her cheerleading team and friends, making her more distant with her family, and more often looking over the little uncomfortable things Mitsarugi was doing to her.

The only time that she said no to him was when they were at an underage party while still in high school. Mitsarugi “insisted” that she wore something more skimpy and to have some drinks. The two ended up going to a more quiet area, he began making sexual advantages on her but Michiko kept saying no. Even as he physically forced her to accept the sexual advantages, she kept pushing and screaming him to stop, only for him to toss her in the corner and belittle her for doing so.

The days went by and Mitsarugi ended up dropping her like a fly and out of the blue, making her feel worthless and alone. But because of everything he did to her mentally, she ended up just blaming herself for all of it, blaming herself for not being a good girlfriend, even considering if she should have gone with it. Though confronting him again, she was treated by Mitsarugi like someone he doesn’t even know.

In her time drifting about, she ended up hiding in a library, just trying to get away from the world. She ended up discovering a quite cheesy fantasy romance novel, as she ends up getting engulfed into the story and seeing herself as the princess in it. Because of how alone she felt, she gravitated strongly towards the books and it soon became her obsession, her way of escaping reality and often hiding away so she could be left alone in the worlds of the books.

Time passes to when she’s 18 years old, the fantasy romances have become her only source of relief from the world around her and become an unhealthy obsession. She now rarely socializes with anyone around her and focuses on her fantasies, all the while the ideas Mitsarugi put in her head about love persist and have gotten worse with no one to talk about it with. All she did outside of school now was imagine herself being cared for by a handsome (and many would say corrupting) prince with her as the princess being cared for.

One day, she ended up opening a hardcover novel with a weird cover, only to be bombarded with a magical glow wrapping around her and ended up turning her into what looked like a princess in a poofy bridal gown before being taken into the story. With three different princes around her and in a rather fantasy world, her dreams seemed to have come true as she quickly accepted herself in this world.

As time went on, she felt more like the princess of the story world, in an almost blinding acceptance of her place in it. Though, she ended up slowly falling more in love with the more manipulative and abusive prince, the same kind of person Mitsarugi was. Though after months of being away from him, she began feeling odd, slowly feeling different about how she was treated but feeling like she should reject that. It wasn’t until she broke down in front of one of the other princes on a date because she wasn’t understanding their much kinder affection towards her.

As she was warming up to the much kinder affections from the other princes, she began feeling herself no longer wanting to be stuck in this world, no longer needing to hide away as a ‘pretend’ princess. While the more aggressive prince seemed to be trying to prevent her from leaving, the other two gladly helped her as much as they could, soon finding a way for her to escape the story and returned to her world. She was stuck in there for months but when she came out, only a few hours have passed but she still remembered what happened to her.

After that day, she came off like a new and more social person. She’s still fighting herself to adjust though and still comes off as quite shy with some stutters, but she’s trying to give it her all. The little adventure in the story made her realize what she should have been focusing on and now she hopes to make her life a much better one than when she still had those misconceptions of love and affection floating around in her head.

Personality: Before she was dating Mitsarugi, she was this cheerful girl, one of the better mermaid cheerleaders, and sometimes snaps her friends into doing studying, knowing that they have to get good grades to keep cheerleading. Many looked up to her because of these things, and while she was only above average in grades, she kept going out and supporting her friends and family through thick and thin.

After that, she was almost a completely different person. She was almost always sad, kept away from everyone around her, and ended up just hiding away in the school library. She fears being put in a position where she has to talk to people and often keeps to herself, even around her family. She’s an A student, but that’s because of how much she reads to escape reality, and it’s an unhealthy addiction as well

Flaws: She became a very shy person after the breakup, very antisocial, and avoiding many people as much as possible. Michiko these days keeps as much as possible to herself, staring directly into her books to avoid reality. When she is dragged into a conversation, she will stutter and make her voice low, not knowing how to react in fear that the people will turn on her the moment she kept talking. But when someone just says “I am a prince,” she will immediately mentally attach to the person, trying to get on their good side if not as a lover, seeing that as the main way to be comforted.
