After his family, friends and home were taken away from him, Bernard became a grumpier more distrustful shell of himself, no longer letting people into his heart in fear that the moment he does, they too will be taken from him.

Though he's grumpy and resists opening his heart, he has a soft spot for the youth after all he was a father once. He often gives fatherly advice disguised by his grumpy attitude.

Now he searches for a new home where he can belong and once more settle down though he himself isn't quite sure where that could be yet.
