Valentine was once a human who had a perverse desire to abandon her human life to become a Pokemon. To teach her a lesson, she was cursed by Arceus and turned into a Tsareena. While intially pleased with her new form, Valentine soon learned the horrors and struggles of being a Tsareena and quickly became remorseful for her previous wishes. She eventually encountered Buford and Avery, who were both also smited humans, and together the trio has been working together to reform theirselves and earn Arceus's forgiveness to return back into their human forms.

Valentine is a quiet but mostly friendly person, preferring to keep to herself most of the time but caring deeply for her friends. After being transformed, Valentine has put a strong effort to change as a person. She has become a very moral person, standing up for what she believes in a rather agressive manner. This trait makes Valentine a hard person to get along with for many. Despite her efforts though, deep down Valentine still has remnants of the person she used to be, and on rare occasions can be quite a pervert herself.
