Personality:
Yosei is very mature and organized. She is friendly to others, especially underclassmen or those who might seem confused or lost. Although she is a princess, Yosei is very humble. In fact she is almost embarrassed to tell others that she is royalty, as she doesn’t want to be viewed as some idol.
Powers and Abilities:
Yosei is a fairy, causing her to have the power of flight and natural xylokinesis.
Backstory (Spoilers):
Yosei is the daughter of Queen Alexandra, Queen of the Fairies, and grew up in the Mythenhaft Forest. Around the age of thirteen, Yosei met and befriended Rami. Rami fell in love with Yosei, but Yosei did not know. When Rami’s Garden found their crush, they made fun of them for falling for the Princess of the Fairies, causing them to run away. Rami encountered their Guardian Demon, Akuma, who gave them a feminine form and new powers. Rami became Yami and using her new powers, she sets the forest on fire in revenge. Amidst the blaze, Yami tries to escape with Yosei, but because of her new form, Yosei doesn’t recognize her friend. Before she knew it, a burning tree falls on Yosei, causing her to lose her left forearm. Because she is naturally xylokinetic, Yosei now uses a prosthetic arm made out of wood. However, Yosei believed that Rami died in the Fire of Mythenhaft.
History in Chimera Heart (Spoilers):
Arc 1
Yosei Willowsky is the senior class representative at Carnelian City High School. Alongside the junior class representative and best friend, Prima Swansen, Yosei hosts the school's morning announcements.
On the first day of school, Yosei and Prima introduce themselves and sit with the members of House #13, quickly befriending them.
In Chapter 7, Yosei is seen handing a glowstick to a student at a football game.
Arc 2
As homecoming approaches, Yosei and Prima talk to the gang about the event. It's revealed that Yosei is a princess, but does not like others making a big deal out of it, wanting to be viewed as a person rather than an idol. Yosei is also encouraged to ask a member of the theatre crew, Damian, to the dance.
Yosei wins homecoming queen, and at the dance she is seen dancing with Damian.
In Chapter 16, Yosei and Damian are briefly seen in the crowd at a school basketball game, cheering on their team.
Arc 3
Yosei and her boyfriend, Damian, are chilling in her parked car late at night. He nervously asks Yosei if he can confess something to her. When Yosei promises Damian he can tell her anything, he reveals that his real name is Daiyaru and that he is a member of Yami’s Army. A tearful and fearful Yosei gets strangled and electrocuted by him. As Yosei passes out, Daiyaru apologizes for what he’s done.
Yosei wakes up imprisoned in a dark room, tangled in thorny rose stems and missing her prosthetic. Yami greets her, wanting to “catch up.” When Yosei doesn’t recognize her, Yami reminds her of the memories the two shared when they were younger. Yosei’s eyes go wide. Yami was her childhood friend, Rami.
Yami confesses her love to Yosei, but her proclamations become aggressive and violent. When she tells Yosei that she “wants to just crawl inside her ribcage and live there forever,” Yosei uses her xylokinesis to shoot a tree branch into Yami’s face. Yami tightens the stems restricting Yosei.
Yami then goes on to tell Yosei her backstory and how she tried to save her, but because of Yosei’s rejection of help, it cost her her arm. Yosei is mortified at the fact that Yami caused the Fire of Mythenhaft. Yami claims that the cruel treatment from her Garden caused the Fire, and that everyone is evil deep down. Yosei shouts that the Rami that she knew would never do this, causing Yami to retort “That’s why I’m Yami now.” She leaves Yosei alone.
