About

Brave • Honest • Polite • Impulsive • Ambitious

From a first glance, Cecily appears just as her small and petite stature would suggest. She's unusually polite, soft, and kind, especially to those she tends to in the cafe she works at. Probe further about her past, and she'll close herself off - something many would pass off as shyness over a sore subject. She's innocent, dainty, naive, and is sorely in need of protection. The interesting aspect of this first glance is that, well, it's not really her at all.

While Cecily remains a soft and kind soul, her most remarkable trait is her bravery and spirit. A look underneath her eyepatch would tell you she's a resilient soul who's weathered many conflicts. Of course, she has her setbacks as well - ambition and a tendency to act on impulse, which does nothing but get her into more conflicts - but she makes it out of them, somehow.

Summary

Yang is the stupidest friend Cecily has ever had, by far.

You'd think two friends who have known each other since they were five when she bumbled into the orphanage would have had nicer things to say about each other, and she knew Yang still did, but that didn't mean he wasn't stupid. Sure, he might have recently gained the powers of a time god, and yes, if their present was changing because someone decided to change the past, his concern was warranted, but that didn't mean that rushing headfirst into the past was the answer!

She asked him if he knew how to control his powers completely. He shook his head. With a frown, she asked next if he knew how to fight. He just shrugged, and said he'd deal with it. Before she could say anything, he handed her the pendant with three charges she had asked for, and waltzed off to whatever fate awaited him. She's still waiting, clutching that pendant of hers. Stupid, stupid Yang. One thing is for sure - as soon as she hones her powers here, before things shift even further to a future that's no longer her own - she's running back to the past to go protect him from himself. Newfound god or not, Yang's still her best friend, and she'd be damned if she let anything happen to him.

Yang

One of Cecily's first friends, Cecily met Yang when she slipped into the older part of the city against her parents orders. Through a scrappy young kid from an orphanage and a girl with everything she could want in the world seem to have little in common at first, they did have a common bond; a desire for something more. Unlike many of Yang's acquaintances, Cecily is aware of Yang's status as a deity due to being present when the previous deity's powers were transferred to him. As a result, Yang usually comes to her when he needs advice. She was initially upset with him choosing to go through the trial as it was fraught with danger, but accepts it now and only wants to ensure her friend's happiness, "as dumb as he is". The crystal she wears around her neck is imbued with some of Yang's power to allow her to travel to the past should her timeline start morphing. Though it seems like it's for her safety, Cecily actually requested it to be able to help Yang should something go wrong in his travels to the past. The crystal has three charges.
