a love story based on the chinese myth of chang'e and houyi the archer. a love story that transcends centuries.
callisto is an ancient decendent of chang'e and a moon goddess in her own right. she was always inquisitive as a child and loved to wander the place that her light illuminated - the earth.
oliver has been chased around by mortals since as long as he can remember and began to be nub to the feeling of love and affection. however, oliver fell in love at the first sight of callisto but she knew that her time on earth was limited and she would have to return to the moon eventually. she closed her heart to outside emotions making her seem lost all the time, not wanting to feel anything for anyone in fear of hurting both herself and others. oliver, being raised on earth, has always been outgoing and strong, never giving up in the face of adversity, and chased callisto to the ends of the earth. callisto's very heart warmed to him eventually and their love grew stronger than the very force that bound her to the moon. though they had to be seperated every year, oliver gave callisto her silver band to remember him by and their love, promising that they would always be together.
wolves do howl at the moon for a reason. it is simply a cry of love.
