As someone who has the ability to see the supernatural, Sammy has had a pretty interesting life. Ever since he and his friend Gabbie found themselves out of the city limits after plague infested ghosts ransacked the place, he's been on one of the longest and strangest roadtrips to happen. Now a varsity highschool baseball player turned monster hunter, Sammy is on a journey to find the source of the Red Rabies that is infecting and killing people by the thousands, in order to either stop the spread all together or at least find a cure to save his mom. Spread by infected and corrupted ghosts and ghouls and signaled by roses bursting out of and growing from the infected's body, Red Rabies is no joke. Sammy is aware of the dangers but he is determined to save the world from the deadly plague armed with little more than a baseball bat and his friends.
Sammy is a pretty quirky, happy-go-lucky dude. He is very optimistic and does his best to always see the good in everything and to just be positive. He gives everyone the benefit of the doubt and can be a bit too gullible for his own good. He is extremely impulsive and has a bad habit of doing stuff without thinking, often leading to him, or others, getting hurt. He is incredibly energetic and has problems sitting still and will often fidget when not doing anything. Sammy also has practically no common sense which really doesn't help when combined with his impulsivity.

Sammy is an only child, raised by his single mother, as his father disappeared when he was around 8. He doesn't remember why or how he went missing, and a lot of his earlier life is kind of a fuzzy cloud when he tries to remember. He had a sister, but she died from... something. His father vanished a year later. Asking anyone else isn't much help, as no one else remembers. Sammy has a feeling his dad's mysterious disappearance has something to do with his ghost sight, as he was a very well respected Ectologist and worked with the supernatural.
Sammy has lived in his hometown of Chickadee, a decently sized safe-haven located in what remains of Washington, for his entire life. People don't step foot outside city limits, for fear of being eaten by ghosts (also occasionally called cryptids). However this was all thrown out the window when Chickadee was attacked by rabbid ghosts. It was discovered that these ghosts are infected by some sort of rabies-like disease that is passed on to everything around them. It causes, among other symptoms, roses to grow out of the infected's skin, necrosis, and death. In the confusion of the attack, Sammy's mother got infected. This kicked off Sammy's adventure through the dangerous Wilderness to find some sort of cure for her and the rest of the infected.

- Hair is very thick and fluffy.
- Lots of freckles.
- Lanky, the boy has a lot of leg.
- When he's nervous, he picks at the threads of his clothes.
- He really likes watermelon, it's his fruit of choice.
- He's suprisingly good at navigating and reading directions. Because of this, he's usually in charge of reading maps and directions when on the road.
- Sammy is the oldest character I have and still use! He's been around for 5 years now.
