He was sent to a foster home as an orphan. Everyone were very kind, but hardly present, since the parents work long hours.
His Stepbrother became his best friend, but pulled him into the gang life without his knowledge. When he realized it, it was already too late. A big fight ensues between the brothers, almost killing Luka. He is rescued by the Competing Gangleader Karma and Luka steps into Karma's gang out of spite.
