The Prince of Sirens was long hidden away once he was prophesied to become the next vessel for all Darkness.
And he grew up to live in New York where he ate Hot Pocket and wrote commercial jingles.

Although he had a decent job of writing commercial jingles and a cozy studio apartment at the heart of a fast-paced city, Roy never felt satisfied with life. It wasn't that he wanted to do more, he was plenty content with where he was at, it was that he didn't feel like he fit in. In this city, at his job, with his friends. All of it felt like he was missing something, and he couldn't figure out what.

It was a problem that stemmed since childhood. All his earliest memories were of him acting out and being a menace to those around him. Being his nicest got him ignored and abandoned, ask his biological parents, or even the foster parents that were too busy with work to ever spend time with him. So if being nice got him nothing, what would being angry do?
He never got an answer, or any closure. Why was he abandoned? As he grew older, he himself abandoned that question to focus on himself, calming down and building a new identity. By then he'd learned about music and was able to channel his emotions through it, becoming very talented in it up to getting a job composing for commercials and even a few shows. For once, he was able to say he was happy.

Then that question started to come back.
A harsh storm came one night and caused a power outage. In that darkness came a ghostly, blue light.

"It's time to return home."

Roy didn't find himself at his apartment or even the home he grew up in. No, he was standing in front of a castle in an entirely different country. That was his home. As wild as it sounded, something about it felt right.

Every country had a magical underside, and with it came their own leaders. This one had a royal family, and the king and queen-- his biological parents-- had perished.
The throne needed a replacement.

Notes: Roy was one of my very first characters ever. When I say this, I mean he was probably number three. That's why he's got a lot of cliches in his story-- being a secret prince, having a god tier weapon, etc. His name and royal blood came from youngun me having a crush on Fire Emblem's Roy at the time, probably why he's got a sword too, though to be fair, I thought swords were awesome thanks to Zelda.
Being a siren came some time afterwards, I think to help explain his talents for music. Now, I don't like making up new worlds entirely. I don't want to go to a different time and explain new laws of anything, but there aren't really royal families in modern times. That's why I came up with every country have a magical kingdom on the down low.

Facts:

Full Name: Roy Lane / En Litari

Nicknames: Roy for personal/close relationships, En otherwise

Age: 29

Birthday: May 9

Sexuality: Heterosexual(...?)

Hair/Eye Color: White/Lavender

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 175 Ibs

Occupation: King

Personality: Contrary to his past, Roy has calmed down considerably and can now be considered friendly and easygoing. He's adaptable and often tries to read the room to assess his options, usually wanting to make people comfortable. It's easy to impress him and make him laugh, too.
With his new job, he's had to take leadership roles and hasn't found it to be as hard as he thought. He's confident and proud, though not without its fair share of insecurities. Oftentimes he doubts himself, but will hide it with a smile.

Voice: A gentle tenor that can easily command respect when needed; David Stanbra

Non-Human Weapons:
- Lan-Ran - The mythical weapon said to control all elements. Or weapons. Lan-Ran is a pair of double edged swords, both capable of controlling one element at a time. However, the bottoms of their hilts may be combined to form any kind of weapon, even capable of wielding the elements both swords previously used.

Non-Human Abilities:
- Concerto - Being not just a Siren but a royal one, Roy's power over music is intense. Serving as a final move, he listens to his opponent's heartbeat and composes a song from it. The music appears in the air, with each note quickly firing at the opponent. These notes act like heat-seeking missiles and can turn and swerve to follow the opponent. Roy must concentrate on this ability and cannot move until the song is over, leaving him very vulnerable. If the song finishes, it can be fatal.
- Musicianship - A natural ability; the music Roy constantly plays in his head acts as a shield against people (un)knowingly trying to read or control his mind.

Drawing Details: Biggest details are his white hair and lavender eyes. Outfit doesn't matter.
Lan-Ran is a pair of double edged swords that have a rose design on the hilt. The bottom of both hilts hold half of a rose, so then combined into a staff it shows a full rose. Right where steel meets hilt on the sword, there are jewels in the hilts. They change color depending on what element the sword is controlling.

Fun/Extra Facts:

- His kingdom has invisible borders, meaning it's not shown on a map and doesn't appear to exist to humans, but non-humans know well about it. His kingdom lies in Italy, and the royalty there serves as magical representatives for that country. Its name is Litari.

- His parents had passed away shortly before he arrived, hence the reason he was brought there in the first place. He was coronated to king soon after.

- Even long after becoming a king, you can still find Roy sneaking into the kitchen late at night to eat a Hot Pocket.

- Childhood, and close friends with Ark, but lost touch with him after what happened with his fiance and daughter. Tried finding him, but always got dead ends.

- Is exceedingly self-conscious about his hair because Ark would always make fun of it during their childhood. He would always call him Snow White. Roy finds Ark's hair incredibly ironic.

- If you comment on his hair he will scream that it's genetic.

- The swords can be summoned at will.

- Doesn't know anything beyond English, save some Italian and French thanks to music.

- Capable of playing all common instruments - orchestral and symphonic settings. It doesn't necessarily mean he's good at them, but he's pretty decent. Primary instrument is the cello.

- Has a golden violin. Never says where he got it.

- Doesn't like singing.

- Gets bisexual panic every time he sees an attractive guy.

- His mother was the queen of sirens, and his father the king of Litari. During a voyaging trip overseas, the king's ship crashed, and though the sirens had meant to kill them, the queen became smitten with the king and they married.

- It is a Siren tradition for royalty to sing a song during a coming of age ceremony. A royal Siren's voice is different from the average Siren's and can project a clearer, more musical tone, sometimes even making it sound as though a band is playing with them. Because of this trait, it can also be seen as the royal's proof of bloodline.

- Not all Sirens trust Roy, though, even with proof of royalty. They believe it is bad that their leader is not a full-blooded Siren.

- Lan-Ran can be used by anyone and held, but unless it is a Litari wielder, the blade will be rusted and dull, and no elements may be used.

- Married to Elabelle
