Arkahdee is a high-strung, flighty man who is consistently paranoid - the type to get uncomfortable with his back to an open door. He hitches trains from place to place, and survives by begging for money and eating roadkill. 

Arkahdee was in Los Angeles when the collapse began; the very epicenter of the apocalypse. He had lived on the street there for the better part of a decade; constantly evading a gang who left him disfigured years prior on the grounds of him "owing them." The smog, corruption and depravity of the city was fertile grounds for the residents of the Underbelly (an impoverished, dangerous and disgusting area) such as Arkahdee to witness all manner of horrors.
