The first to hatch of the first clutch between Sunset and Ratfoot, while they were still seeking refuge among trolls, Bloodheart got herself a steady diet of protein, which may very well have contributed to her ending up with queen-like traits. Her mother saw this worthy of special attention, both out of pride (from having nursed a queen on her own) and out of fear (of having her daughter, more queen-like than herself, replace her). Bloodheart was always Ratfoot's first priority, and learned to be faster and better and sharper than her brothers from a young age.
