Early into her high school curriculum, Angel had always had an interest in journalism. Fascinated in knowing the facts and digging up the true stories, she saw her future as an esteemed journalist, and planned to have the proper higher education for it. Her mother Regina was even willing to fund her education following high school at her alma mater, the esteemed Edgewood University...with a catch. Angel would get a full ride, tuition and board included, only if she would apply to join the Zeta Beta Zeta sorority house, the same one Regina still retains former sisterhood with from her youth. Understandably, Angel is not happy with this condition, extremely uninterested in the "vapid and clique-y" culture that is a sorority house. But seeing the expensive tuition of the program and the opportunity to do what she loves, Angel swallows her pride and accepts her mother's condition. Besides, her boyfriend Ivan was going to the same school thanks to a sports scholarship, so she could at least be with someone to soften the blow.

Dropped off on campus to begin her first semester, Angel begrudgingly makes her way to the opulent white house on the campus' Greek Row, the Zeta Beta Zeat house. Inside, she's assaulted with the stench of way too much perfume, gaudy marble decorations, and a troupe of identical girls in matching t-shirts doing some kind of demonic chant. Angel in her dark punkish attire sticks out like a sore thumb. She's approached by the house's leader, who recognizes her from the photo Angel's mother sent her (without Angel's consent) and greets her brightly. And thus begins Angel's parade of misery at the hands of the Zetas, but she is never without a fight, sticking to her guns and keeping her rough punk-rock personality among the crowd of WASP-y preps.

Lucky for Angel, just a short walk down Greek Row is the Beta Kappa Pi house, Ivan's fraternity. At first her visits were brief, put-off by the loud noise and questionable hygiene of Ivan's brothers, but she learned to make herself more comfortable and the brothers began taking her advice on tidying up and showering. Angel would soon find herself at the Beta Kappa house even more than hers, and Ivan would be ecstatic with Angel's constant presence. And within her first year, Angel would really come out of her shell. The high of freedom from her mother allowed her to act more spontaneously, partaking in pranks with the Beta Kappas, helping plan mixer parties, and getting a little wild on weekends in between cramming for her midterm exams. She's truly happier than she's ever been, able to be off-guard and in the company of her lover. And to her utter shock and excitement, her best friends from high school! It's with this group of troublemakers that Angel feels a true sense of family unlike she did at home. Sure the homework load gets a bit heavy and she still has a GPA to maintain, but she can always just pull an all-nighter again.
