Church is often seen wearing a plain solid color t-shirt (typically vneck) along with some kind of outdoorsy boot type shoe. He is well built with short dark brown hair and tanned skin that is covered in freckles and beauty marks. Most notible features of Church's appearance are his piercing blue-green eyes and the multitude of battle scars that cover his body (although they are mostly hidden by clothes).

Church is a thrill seeking adventurer at heart, growing up he was very much the neighborhood riff raff who was either always getting himself into trouble or getting someone else out of it. In regards to others, Church believes in protecting those who need it most and always helping. While his intentions are altruistic he has a tendency to go about it in a way that is always somehow a detriment to his image, making him seem more like an unruly danger to others. His plans may not always end well but he keeps a positive outlook on life regardless. He enjoys making jokes and having an all around snarky wise cracking attitude, something he picked up from childhood inspirations like Indiana jones and Robin hood.

Church was born in the bustling city of New York to a lower-middle class lifestyle. In his childhood he was known to be a bit of a scoundrel in the local neighborhood. Since his mother spent most of her time working a full-time job Church was either left with the neighbors of the same complex or (when he's old enough) could be found wandering the local market nearby. He was well known in his community since childhood, but whether his reputation was good or bad depended on the individual. Growing up he didn't have a lot in the ways of material possessions but instead had a wealth of friends and 'found family', making him quite congenial when he needed to be. As Church grew older he began looking to pay his mother back for supporting them both during hard times. He began studying to become a biomedical engineer but complications in funding soon crushed his dreams.

Still wanting to help the family he sought out the help of an old friend of the neighborhood. Unfortunately, the new line of work he was asked to do was less than reputable, and even worse it sparked a passion in him. The sense of a thrill-seeking adventure kept him lured to this new job, reminding him of his riff raff days as a child. He managed to make enough money to help him and his mother, much to her chagrin. Eventually though his luck ran out and after a series of events he was left with to face the reality of his situation in an aftermath of his making. Later into his adulthood he sought to leave the life behind, He found himself pursuing a career as a museum curator and cataloguer. He worked to conserve and maintain the collected wonders of the world and through his work he discovered a new obsession.

Church's abilities are magical in nature and is portrayed as chaotic at times.

• Has the power of the Djinn which includes Teleportation, astral projection (through mirrored/reflective objects) Dream stealing and limited forms of telepathy
• His current level of telepathy allows him to become highly empathic. He is able to read and feel the thoughts and desires of others around him within a certain radius. At first this ability is incredibly difficult to control but as he hones this skill he is able to pin point specific thoughts from individuals without much difficulty.
• When teleporting he is engulfed in a blue flame surrounded by smoke and when using his powers his eyes will glow a sapphire blue (can teleport anywhere he has seen and can visualize within the realm of reality)
• His 'Dream stealing' ability is a form of mental manipulation and illusion and results in a seemingly catatonic/coma-like state of his opponents until he lifts the illusion. While the target is helpless in the real world mental projections of their current desires are fed to them (ranging from a battle ending in their favor to them living a completely different life from reality). To accomplish this Church must physically make contact with the target, the most effective method being pressing his index finger on the forehead and thumb on the temple of his target. (later on when he hones his skills he doesn’t need to touch the target)
• Can physically manipulate the Djinn's blue flame, thought It doesn't produce the same heat as fire can still 'infect' targets with the "Djinn's Curse" Causing complete nerve paralysis and intense pain. (This ability consumes his arms in a charred black material and initially caused a slight pain to himself in the afflicted area until he later learns to control it better)
• Djinn form- He becomes a dark mass engulfed in blue flame and ember. While in the Djinn's form he has little to no control of his actions and is merely a being of manipulation and deceit. Because of the Djinn's need to inflict victims with his illusions in order to steal their souls, Church's motivations in this form are similar. Glowing tattoo like markings on his body indicate the start of the transformation into his Djinn form (This form is rare and only brought on by force of the Djinn entity and not of Church's free will)

• Although he doesnt have a photographic memory he is able to recall information with great precision

• Is multilingual (knowing at least 4 languages at a conversational level) although not completely fluent in all languages

Church's relationship with his parent's is an important consideration to his character. He spent most of his time with his mother although his father wasn't completely aloof in his life. To Church his mother was a superwoman, dealing with a rowdy boy such as himself while juggling multiple jobs was something he had learned to truly appreciate as he grew older. Her warm nurturing demeaner was not her only side though. She had the power to be fierce and unyielding, something she had embraced from living in NY city for years before having Church . Through his childhood though this juxtaposition had brought out moments of contempt from Church. They weren't always a happy put together family and sometimes the harsh realities of their situation put a strain on their relationship, but in the end they had to look out for each other in this world and their struggles made them stronger. Church's relationship with his father is arguably even more complicated. As a young boy he didn't see him that often seeing as his father's mysterious lifestyle kept him from settling down for too long. It was an agreement him and his mother had made and the time had past where she had felt bitter about it. There was still a noticeable tension in their meeting but they managed to make their relationship strong enough for Church to survive a childhood in. Whenever his father did have the opportunity to spend time with him they were always loving moments. And as a result he only formed fond memories of his father in childhood even though he wasn't around as often. It was only when he was a teenager did he start to show distain for his father's absence. It was the lack of his presence that drew him to try and support him and his mother in whatever way possible. Although he was working towards this goal in spite of his father there is a side to him that does these things to make him proud. His mother never spoke ill of him and he knew that there were secrets she was keeping from him. So he began looking into what secret life his father was living without them.
