Pyral was raised among the rainwing tribe, and was completely oblivious to being a hybrid until someone pointed out his frills. Since he's been blind since birth he assumed all rainwings had them. Pyralspite, like most rainwings, adores fruit, and can recognize it by scent. He became a fruit gatherer, because it was the only job that wasn't hindered by his blindness. he can often be found sleeping or eating when he's not he's socializing. he met kiwi in a river while he was searching for fruit around age 6. age 7 he learned he was an animus and enchanted the star charm on his tail to take the damage of the magic. once a year he must replace the charm, as it acts like a grenade when it shatters, releasing the magic in an explosion and burying bits of the charm into whatever is in the way.
