Cassius's Comments

Cassius is a nobleman archer and part of a group of mercenaries, most of them noble like himself. Though admittedly rather cowardly, his heart is in the right place and he wants to make the world better.

Cassius grew up in luxury, as the firstborn son of a rich noble hailing from another land. Much like his childhood friends Ravi and Aria, he admired the knights of the land and their dedication to protection, but unlike Ravi he couldn’t become a knight himself, due to his firstborn status. Instead, he started to train in the bow and arrow, useful both as a nobleman’s sport and a means of self-defense. He competed in tournaments as soon as he was old enough to use a bow, and though he didn’t start off very skilled he learned quickly.

Once he was older, he reunited with his friends, one now a knight and one a mage. The three of them went on adventures together, hunting down thieves and other scoundrels for entertainment.

When they met a child thief by the name of Sibyl, their adventuring changed. Defiant even when charged, she explained how she never wanted to be a thief, but she was forced to be because it was her only way of survival. Stunned, the three adventurers began to question their learnings of “thieves are only thieves because they’re good-for-nothings too lazy to work”.

Though Sibyl refused to stay under their care (understandable, as they were still teenagers), she was given necessities, and more than a few luxuries, and no longer was forced to steal. Their “adventuring group” meets together often, though now with a focus on peaceful solutions to crimes.
