Pay no attention to these unsavory beasts. They are soulless, figments of the anxious mind. However, that is not to say they aren't real.

Lurkers are not a character or being, lacking sentience of any kind. Dripping, foul demons made of ink, of tar, of smoke, they feed off of your nightmares, fears, and unpleasant thoughts by stirring up more. Their appearance is much like a dragon's, although they lack structure of any solid kind. Creatures of Austin's dark power, they are not to be trusted - and avoided at all costs. For while they may lack a solid form, they can still throw you around, haunt you, and drive you out of your mind all the same.
