Personality: Kelby is energetic to a fault. He tends to be reckless, a bit clumsy, and not exactly think things through before he does them. Generally seen as a bit of a walking disaster. Extroverted and will talk to pretty much anybody. If somebody's on his bad side, he's more likely to seek them out and try to tick them off than avoid them. Often loud and can go through moods where he acts unnervingly similar to a hyper cat. Likes to be right and will not spare you the "I told you so"s. Carries himself with confidence and can be a tad cocky. A fast learner and actually pretty smart and well trained despite everything else. He's oddly reclusive about his romantic interests, shutting right up and easy to fluster
Physical Description: Round head with a 'V' shaped vent between the eyes. Has a very wide smile with sharp canine fangs, a light tan, and a handful of freckles. Has a long set of furred ears that are grey and decorated with a bunch of speckles. Wide eyes, though they're commonly pushed up into a squint. Bright green with ringed irises and slit pupils. Hair's light rust in color. Mostly about mid-neck in length. There's a longer section on one side that falls over his face, often covering one eye Limbs are long and lanky. Digitigrade feet. Both hands and feet fade to black and have four digits. No thumbs on either, but all digits are opposable with a high range of movement. Has a long, furred tail that tapers to a point. Grey with specks. 6' Not quite a beanpole, but he's on thin ice. Tan skin. Has two vents on the neck that taper to 'V' shapes in the front. Has two similarly shaped vents on each thigh and two 'W' shaped vents across the rib area Wardrobe mostly consists of his librarian uniform: a white long-sleeved shirt with gold plating on the shoulders. A belt's worn around the base of the ribs. The ends of the shirt are long and reach about mid-thigh. There's a 'V' shaped slit in both the front and back. History: Kelby's parents hid from the Dark in a humble cave-turned-house. Although this was horribly dangerous, they were too reclusive to consider seeking out a larger population to join. Kelby was born in the cave and often scampered over to the nearby Papercut Village to play with the kits there. By the time he was 6, the pond next to their cave was disrupted and started to flood the home. Kelby's dad started to seek out a different nook for them to set up camp in while his mother moved their belongings out into the the open where it could stay dry. Although they tried to clear out as quickly as possible, they couldn't do it in one day. The sun started to set and, distressed, Kelby ran over to the village to ask for help. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't stop the sun from setting. Dark came too soon and destroyed the vulnerable house. Papercut kept him safe, but the same couldn't be said for his family. As soon as morning came, he and a small group of the villagers hurried out to his old home, but sure enough found it all but vanished. Everything the family had owned was desecrated and his parents were simply gone. Search parties humored the kit and looked for the missing Elves, but in reality, it was a fruitless venture. With nowhere else to go, Kelby moved into Papercut where he got an education in enchanting and magics. Later, he became a Librarian and built his own house there

Details: Charges way too much for his services. He's the best deal and he can take his pick, thank you very much. Went by ey/em when he was younger, but swapped to he/him once he was old enough to know what it meant. Hates people trying to tell him when to go to bed! With his excess of energy, Kelby often isn't tired come night time. He often doesn't settle down until around midnight, maybe later. Regardless, he still wakes bright and early, ready to go. How does he do it (he's a morning person, that's how).  He knows a little bit on a hand harp since learning an instrument got him some brownie points during his education. Enchanting is practically second nature to him. He seems to learn new things in the field abnormally fast and be able to use the craft with a severely reduced energy penalty
