Background

Birdie was born to a litter of 11 rats. He's fifth born, but he's not as muscular or big as his first 4 siblings. His mother never gave them names, only his brother, who was first born and his dad wanted him to have a specific name. The rest were just called 1,2,3,etc. One of his younger sisters started calling him Birdie due to his ruffled back fur. No matter how much he cleaned himself, it always popped back up in the same spot. It became a part of his character and he rather enjoys it. When he grew old enough to leave his colony he held on to the nickname given to him by his sister and claimed it as his own name. Part of him dreams that he could be a bird--
