For Bestias, they are born under a specific branch alignment. This alignment is based on the children of Spiral Draco and The One that Follows (creator of Bestias). In those alignment exist the Animus branch based on Dawn Chiropteran. In this, a Bestia’s anima (beast half of their soul) takes on the form of a guardian spirit to the Bestia in question as typically these Bestias are "weak" when battling by themselves. The anima (often called familiar) carry a similar level of intelligence as the one they are bound to with Bestia outside of their branch citing that they have more of an “identity” solely because they are capable of vocalizing their thoughts and a level of independence akin to their host. This is Pluma, the familiar of Cael and the one who will do everything in her power to protect him. They are of the rare variety of familiar that take the form of some kind of avian wyvern. They are quite a reserved character.
Likes
- Fruits. That makes them happy.
- Cael. That's his little buddy!
- Soaring through the sky. Let them fly!
- Sleeping in Cael's hoodie. It's comfy.
Dislikes
- Being denied of using others as perch.
- Anyone hurting Cael. He will fight you.
- Cold. Keep that away from him.
- Remi. He's a bit stupid at times.
Summary
With his best friend sleeping by his side and blood dripping down his finger, Cael raised his hand and drew a symbol the whispers from Dawn Chiropteran told him to draw. It was no secret that at some point in their life, Bestia would hear the voice of the God of their branch path, guiding them to unlock the powers the branch has to offer. When the symbol was made, Cael closes his eyes as he channels energy into the symbol. For a moment, there is pain. It was so much that Cael was tempted to stop. However, he kept going until the pain stopped. When the pain stops, he opens his eyes and stares into the face of an avian wyvern. As he reached out towards the bird, he would call it by their name: Pluma.
Pluma is a very stern and mostly reserved avian who has lofty expectations of Bestias. He is primarily moved by logic and does not believe in the necessity of filtering his words or ideas for others. When meeting him, Pluma can often come off as cold, apathetic, and impatient, exerting very little energy in most situations. Despite his apathetic traits, Pluma genuinely cares about his partner and those who have connection to them. This can be shown through the way he is quick to look over Fenrir to make sure he hasn't hurt himself in some way. Surprisingly enough, Pluma is also quite nurturing and has his moments when he can come off as being motherly with the way he speaks to others he likes. Despite his personality, Pluma has shown on several occasions that he is not completely devoid of joy or humor.
Design
• Pluma is around 4'11" feet tall and often appears smaller due to occasionally slouching.
• Her eyes change red whenever she's in the middle of battle.
• She does wear a mask over her face. However, very few people actually seen her without it.
• Under the moonlight, the sparkles on Pluma's skin change color and illuminate like stars.
• She is capable of walking on her back paws and often does so as a means to make herself look bigger.
Trivia
• I have considered changing her name, but decided against it since it worked well.
• I recently updated the design for Pluma due to not liking his old design.
• Pluma wasn't originally going to have a voice until I decided to change that recently.
• Designing the fusion of Pluma and Cael was a pain.
• Pluma took time to write about her personality.
• I consider changing his colors when I redesign him, but decided against it.
Links
Cael Whitefang
Pluma cares deeply for Cael and will do everything in his power to keep him safe and happy. He is quick to listen to his partner and will never go against any of his orders unless they somehow result in him getting hurt in some way. He can be a worrywart at times when it comes to Cael.
Fenrir Hróðvitnir
The best way to describe Fenrir and Pluma relationship is if you make Fenrir that dad who doesn't like the idea of having a pet, but his son (well I guess more so his friend here-) manages to convince him to keep it. Then somehow, in this process, Fenrir developed a soft spot for said pet even if it kept stealing his fruits.
Hati Hróðvitnir
If anything happens to Hati, Pluma will attack everyone and then attack themselves. Pluma looks to Hati as being a younger brother and often teaches him everything he needs to know about familiars whenever he gets the opportunity to see and talk to him whenever Cael visits.
Remi
There are many names that Pluma loves to give Remi. Most of those are not appropriate as Pluma isn't very fond of Remi. This isn't a surprise, given the number of times that Remi often tries to fight Pluma when he is either trying to take a nap or vibe while sitting on Cael's shoulder.
