Tancho is a tiny water dragon who feasts on koi fish.
From snout to tail, he’s about 3 feet long, so larger koi can give him quite the harrowing battle... but he prefers it that way!
Like the majestic flatfish, Tancho has adapted to his environment, and swims with most of his long body on its side so that his legs are vertically aligned.
He believes he more closely resembles a fish this way, and can get closer to his prey.
His legs, though stubby, are functional, and used to flop, scoot and slither his way over land from koi pond to koi pond.
Tancho is white, with a single orange spot on the top of his head, and two small orange stripes on his tail.
