Celestia, the dog who chased the moon to be reunited with her fallen sister. Astra, the cat who chased the sun for the same reason.
Celestia had a good soul and Astra had led a life of crime when it was time for them to venture into the kingdom above, Astra was sent to the night. Celestia was sent to the clouds. She chased to the moon to join her sister, but the moon always outran her. Astra chased the sun to plead her forgiveness so she may see Celestia again, but the sun always stayed just out of her reach.
They say they are still running.
When you see rays of run shining through the clouds, they'll say it's Celestia's pawprints stamped through the clouds.
When you see falling stars, it's Astra kicking up dust as she runs.
They also say that's when makes the sun and moon rise and fall. When the sun goes down it's because it's running from Astra and when the moon rises it's because it's outrunning Celestia.
The story comes from each of their constellations in the sky. Celestia's constellation can only be seen in the summer, while Astra's can only be seen in the dark of winter.
