Stella was a huge profit and a massive financial investment. She is a performing robot who can dance, sing, do interviews, and has over 100 potential facial expressions and vocal tones. Her voice was provided by a retired classical singer who requested to remain anonymous in the project, although some like to speculate.

Stella was initially intended to be a circus performer, until great potential was seen in a fully functional robot celebrity, who can still do all the things celebrities can, like interviews and PR (unlike virtual idols, for example), as well as physical appearances, meet and greets and the like, but she couldn't be involved in much controversy.

She has been mostly a success, and incredibly profitable since she requires no pay, no home, etc. She simply lives with her manager, and can be powered down by him if he doesn't want to deal with her (which, often she is when she isn't doing performances.) She also doesn't require a passport or visa for touring.

The head of her design team when creating her did add some special programming though...
