Hisham

Hisham (hee-SHAHM) is a Floradear with the mint peony flower. He has a peony marking on the back of his ear, a little lighter than his skin tone, that looks like a scar. He left the island when he was 15, craving an alternative, less gentle lifestyle. After a few years, he discovered that he quite likes pain, both taking it and inflicting it. These days he works at an exclusive S&M-themed host club with Luc and others. Of course, he hides his antlers and tail when working. He is extremely popular, though falls short of being the number one host, because he's both S and M.

Hisham is soft-spoken and generally pretty sweet, vestiges of his old life where he was raised to be kind. However, he easily says things that he doesn't really mean, adapting himself to what he thinks people want. His is an empty sort of kindness. An "I love you" from him means practically nothing, as if he really loved you, he'd show it with his actions, not words. Hisham doesn't mind others relying on him, but doesn't like asking anyone for help or guidance. He can be quite stubborn in that way and will flee from conflict 99% of the time, not liking to admit when he's wrong or deal with troublesome things. He holds grudges and can be cold towards or outright ignore people he's not interested in when he's not in Host Mode. Due to some bad experiences from when he first left the island, he's very conscious of the importance of money and is rather frugal.

Hisham (هشام) means "generous" in Arabic, ultimately from hashama "to crush". The meaning derives from the traditional Arab act of crushing bread into crumbs in order to share it.
