Aren't I a bit too old for this?

Othello was born to a pomp mother and rebel father. Although the circumstances were never fully disclosed to the young child, his house was always filled with the smell of fresh coffee, freshly picked plants, and the sound of carrier pigeons that flew back and forth from a nation across the sea with love letters smelling of Jasmin and honey suckle. He was loved, he knew that, more then most kids considering his mother kept in contact, but things weren't always easy. His rebel father constantly struggled between prejudice, rebellion, and stability-growing up a migrant worker in Dentro didn't help even if it meant that he always came back with fresh produce and eccentric stories. Othello learned a lot from him, everything from how to keep a coup of nesting animals happy to how to sit down and enjoy silence. Still, he was lonely. He was given a lot of freedom, a lot of responsibility during the warmer seasons when his father would often be absent for months at a time to work the fields. He was also put to work at an early age, boarding in a pomp's house as a cleaning boy when school was out and his father wasn't home. He made friends with the Loudians there and learned a lot from them to-one of the main lessons that stuck out to him as he aged was how false prejudice could be.
Although he himself was a normie, his father being a rebel got a lot of backlash simply for existing. Othello was a young adult when the rebellions really began to kick off and his father was laid off irregardless of the fact that he kept his mouth shut. Othello, for the sake of his father, temporarily joined those movements as a social activist-cutting off his own tail and moving to Riza's capital in hopes of making a change. As time passed and social reform progressed Othello was called back to his home town due to his father falling ill. Watching the man he was acting a hooligan for die did something to Othello and although he doesn't regret his past he's far from the wild anarchist he was as a young adult.
Now, an old man that has an obsession with clocks and the time, Othello owns an antique shop which doubles as a workshop for the handmade clocks he sells in Riza's captial. He tends to ramble on for long periods of time if anyone asks him anything about either of the two subjects, but it's only because he's lonely and misses the children that never visit him. He's a man with many past loves and passions and although he's completely content living a quiet life with his vocation he's extremely amicable and up to making new memories (he's not that old you know!)

Passionate | Intelligent | Amicable | Talkative | Sophisticated | Romantic | Nostalgic

- Actual sweet old man that people steer away from because he seems crazy.
-Never married, never wants to get married, is a bit more attracted to men but has half a dozen childen-all grown up and doing their own thing.
-The type of parent to call and ask his kids when they plan on visiting even if they just came over last week, luckily there's enough of them that he's never lonely for long-they come over and braid his tail frequently.
-Tends to leave activism for 'the younger folks' although he has a box of old love letters (his fathers and his), photos of when his hair was short, and the like he tends to stay out of politics. Could care less about pomps or rebels, people are just people.
-Grew found of clocks due to the clocks in his childhood. He had an old grandfather clock at his childhood home-it never chimed right but kept time to the second. At the pomp house he worked at when he was a kid they also had a wide variety of clocks. In the silence the ticking was always soothing.
-Loves chocolate and tea he'll nom that shit up all day
-72 isn't extremely old by BT standards he's only like 50-60 in human years?
