PERSONALITY

Gerbat's default characteristic is that he's a big grumpy guy. He looks intimidating, doesn't emote that much compared to others, and in general seems either too boring or too scary and emotionally distant to approach. He's a man of few words, but will speak up when he needs to, and every word will hit hard. In reality, he doesn't mind opening to people, it's just not that many people flock to him. 

Despite his intimidating look, he's never wished anyone any harm. Quite the contrary, he tries his best to help whoever needs it, even if they aren't worthy of it in everyone else's eyes. He frowns at destruction for the greater good and would like to believe anything could be fixed and cured with proper patience, knowledge and care. However, he's not naive, he's cautiously optimistic and even quite jaded at this point, knowing well that this planet may be beyond saving. He refuses to stop trying, though.

Gerbat doesn't have many friends, but his friendship bonds are extremely strong and supportive. He's that friend who always has a cup of tea, a good advice and a place to crash at. He encourages people to value themselves and others and live their lives to the fullest of their ability. He will literally pick you up and shake the sadness out of you. He doesn't ask for anything in return, which can be a problem, as people always expect him to know best and do well, and cry on his shoulder way more than they ask about his own well-being. But one thing he hates the most is people who take advantage of this sort of selfless kindness, and that trick ain't gonna work on him. 

Gerbat is a simple man with a simple worldview and can be blunt and straight-forward with many delicate issues, but perhaps, that's what allows him to break the wicked circle of worrying. Gerbat is a dedicated worker and believes physical labor is one of the cures for overly busy minds. He doesn't like overthinking or overreacting, and can miss some important nuances until they're explicitly spoken about. Perhaps, his biggest problem as a Sylph of Life is that while being a good parental figure for his loved ones, he can start bossing you around a bit too much if he thinks you're Doing Life Wrong. 

Gerbat is one of the very few jadebloods who aren't really a part of the breeding duties, although he doesn't mind helping if that's needed. He's considered a hermit, but he is and will always be a part of the jade family.
