INVENTING

Isaac is a brilliant mind. He loves inventing and tinkering with machines, infusing them with magic and creating fantastical inventions. All of the things he creates are beautifully executed with a brassy or copper finish, harkening back to his love for the Age of Invetion. He puts a lot of love and time into every invention, always producing something that is somehow useful or practical. He specializes in automotons and making drones who perform various tasks, always in the shape and form of different types of birds. His favorite birds to work with are hummingbirds and sparrows. He also has a 'security system' that is in the shape of a very large barn owl (that spits out mechanical bees that sting you with a sleeping potion). While creating things that resemble animals is something he does for his personal projects, he also has numerous other projects that have earned him a name, all related to countless different fields. His versatility and constant production for three centuries has earned him a mighty reputation, his research published and widely acknowledged amongst scholars and scientific minds.

Isaac's love for inventions come from the era he grew up in, admiring science fiction works and being a huge lover of Jules Verne as well as the early inventions of Nicola Tesla. He has an undying love for imaginative novels that focus on radical inventions.

Depsite Isaac having a pretty highly revered reputation in the scientific magical community he has a very low self esteem about his own creations. He always sees the oppurtunity for improvement before seeing the success he has already reached. He is a very humble individual and will often come off as docile and meek around his peers or even those who are a lower status than him. His meekness is less due to social anxiety and more from an acute paranoia he developed around the middle of his career. Being sought after by more unsavory individuals for his inventions, Isaac found himself fearing for his safety and ultimately his life after some of his colleagues and friends went missing. Because of this, he prefers to hole himself up and work alone, living the life of a hermit who doesn't get out much.

PERSONAL

Unfortunately, because of his upbringing, Isaac is extremely sexist without meaning to be. He adheres more strictly to gender roles than he even realizes, beleiveing a man should not be as quiet and humble as he and feeling quite lacking because of it. His slight frame and thin hips also make him uncomfortable as he sees them as 'womanly' features. He is very self-conscious when it comes to relationships, often feeling as though he can't properly appeal as a man. Isaac is most comfortable around men and will often shrink away when approached by a beautiful woman.

Isaac can find easy contentment by himself. He spends hours and sometimes whole days inventing in his lab. He works best in a meticulously organized mess, hoarding more than is really necesary for the sake of research. When on one of his lab binges, he doesn't leave and relies on Amazon and food delivery services to sustain himself.

When backed against a wall, Isaac becomes more dangerous to be around. All of his pent up paranoia and his slightly crazed self-preservation has built up a lot of restrained emotions within him. He is needy and selfish, thirsty for acknowledgement and relishing praise despite his aversion to it.
