Overview

A well-meaning dwarf raised the infant tiefling he found abandoned in the woods well away from the prying eyes of a society that would have scorned her as they did him when he turned his back on their expectations, and named her Anemone, after one of the many flowers he cultivated in the name of the goddess Ehlonna. From her father, Anemone received love enough that her questions about the world past the woods were few, and she longed little to leave her flower-covered home until his passing left her with no other choice.

Sweet and friendly, Anemone wishes for little else but to spread the same joy Ehlonna and her father brought her. Having been raised in almost total isolation has done her social skills absolutely no favors, though, and neither does a society that cares little for her race; prejudice and her own awkward shyness leave her fumbling through any given conversation regardless of how much earnestness she intends to meet it with. She wants friends, and to love and be loved in return, so she's quick to attach herself to anyone at all who will show her kindness. Despite the vast wealth of knowledge passed down to her from her father's teachings, she lacks the worldly experience to keep herself from being manipulated in the process.

Despite her stumbles, Anemone meets each day with a bright, if shaky, smile. While she doesn't know where to begin finding her place in this world, she knows she wants to be a force of good in it; none of its cruelties can offset the love she's always known. Adventure yet waits for her, and though the unclear road ahead makes her nervous, she walks every step of it with forward determination, sowing the seeds of something new and beautiful in her path.
