Eclipse is hybrid dragon who lives in the Rainforest. His father is a Nightwing and his mother is a Rainwing. He feels split between the two because the Nightwings are still somewhat critical of his parents relationship and the Rainwings think there's something wrong with him because he can only change parts of his scales and not his full body. No matter what village he stays in, it always feels like there are judging eyes trained on his back.
He thoroughly enjoys art however. He uses many of the plants in the rain forest to create dyes that he then uses in paintings and other mediums of art. Eclipse actually has slight prophetic powers that manifest through his artwork. He'll get a random jolt of "inspiration" to create a scene of what may happen in the future. Most of the time it's just small things that hardly matter but occasionally he'll predict something that can have bigger consequences. He isn't able to trigger this on command and it's often hard for him to be sure if it's actually a hint to the future or just plain old inspiration.
Because of his mixed linage, Eclipse can only change a few spots on his body colour wise, (as mentioned above.) This includes the underside of his wings, the frills behind his ears, the crest of his head, and a few spots along his body. Whenever he's with his father in the Nightwing village he tries to keep his body dark coloured to match the other Nightwings. He doesn't bother trying to maintain a colour with the Rainwings, the rest of his body is too different for it to make much of a difference. He enjoys trying to create pictures in his wings when he's alone.
