basic story ! (this is copied and pasted from tumblr and will be edited later prob)
focusing on Sarah (Windsong Adamantine) because Hugh (Thunder Riff) is just a pegasus lmao.
Lore starts with Adaman (kirin) and his wife Sara (changeling). In this universe, that time period was very against marrying outside of your own species, so they’re outcasts of their communities. It was also pre changeling redemption, adding to the forbiddenness of it all.
The family then kinda branches, with some remaining more kirin (Sarah and Arven’s branches) and some more changeling (Gladion and Lillie’s branch). I’d like to think that Lillie is the first fully reformed changeling ever.
If you’ll notice in the drawing, Sarah has some changeling traits (gem+shiny back thing). The most important drtails are the golden horn (passed from Adaman) and the blue gem (passed from Sara). All kirin family members have the horn, and all changeling ones have the gem.
For the actual story, I’d like to think that Hugh’s part of some kind of canon-esque team where they go around and help people. I think it’d be funny if it was based on his friends from Blueberry Academy, which includes Gladion. Like. The friendship map does its thing and points to the location and Gladion’s like “wait that’s where my family lives.”
anyways the idea is that the crew shows up to Sarah and Arven’s families living isolated somewhere, and the episode is the crew helping them realize that people are long over the whole separation thing. I think they’d also join the main team. For fun.
