In-depth: Aries is something of a "true love" kind of guy, meaning he believes that love conquers all. He's an extremely likable person and is lauded by his people as the greatest King the Kingdom has ever had. Not that he cares about being the greatest, he just wants the best for his people and land; he understand that the core of any Kingdom is the common folk. It's them that makes a Kingdom run and he does his best to make their lives as easy as possible such as having guards stationed at far off settlements, ensuring that trade is fluid and simple, listening to his subjects etc. 

He maintains either neutral or friendly relationships with other lands and tries his hardest to keep things civil due to his belief that all species can get along if they truly tried to look past their differences. Strangely he has a friendship with King Corvus that none would suspect due to the countries general racist feelings towards non-equines and magical creatures; but due to Corvus's nephew being a magical creature he has come to better understand that these prejudices are misplaced. King Aries tries to encourage Corvus to reach out to other Kingdoms and try to mend the rifts caused by his family but Corvus doesn't think it'll be as easy as Aries makes out.
