Profile
Raised by her grandfather as a follower of Houzi, which granted her unmatched hand to hand combat skills for someone of her age. However since the Old Gods vanished nearly two decades ago, the magic she would have gained from such dedication is virtally non-existant. After the passing on her grandfather, this predicament left her unable to find work.
Although in truth she loved her grandfather dearly, she sometimes finds herself resenting him for leaving her in the position she's in. She has been studying new magic in secret although she's very conflicted by it as her 'magic' is the only remaining tie to the only family she's ever had.

Cyrus [ team mate ]
Is often encouraging of Cyrus to get out of his shell, try new things and prove himself. Cyrus can sometimes reveal a short tempered side to her personality where she becomes frustrated at his inaction and general lack of ability. Still she cares for the kid like a big sister and hopes for his success.
Grimm [ team mate ]
Idolizes him much more than he deserves. Since Mei Lin is still young, Grimm is like an elder brother or sometimes even a parental figure to her, despite his sometimes dubious actions. She still has a stronger moral center than he does and tries to force him to do the square thing more often than he'd choose to himself.
Bing [ team mate ]
Probably a much healthier role model for Mei Lin than Grimm, but she is not quite sure what to make of him at first since he is unable to speak and acts a bit "odd" being an elf. She is also not used to someone knowing their way around the mountain better than she does since she's spent her whole life on the cliffs, his presence, at least at first gives her somewhat of an identity crisis.
