{short bio}
All the world’s a stage, and to Bianca Rose, that’s all her world has ever been.

She does have a few memories of the time before, but they are little more than fleeting puzzle pieces she’s tried not to connect.  She had a mother. She had a father, as so many do. She remembers her mother’s luscious, golden hair; and how she’d hold her in her arms and remark how she was as pretty as mommy, when she was younger.  She remembered her father talking about home; something that struck her with confusion as it was a place that wasn’t here. Lastly, she remembered the words, “You’ll make me proud, little darling,” and the faded image of her father with wide open eyes as a man with no face carted her off and she tried to reach back.

At the age of 6, Bianca was carried off to The Tian Theatre Troupe, one of several in the Tian district.  The owner, a business man by the name of Sidney, had bought her and several other capable hybrids as ensemble members believing that they could draw more attention to his shows.  Bianca in particular was picked because of her ability to effectively hide her wings using clothing and hear off-stage cues with her enhanced hearing. Sidney’s idea, as absurd as it had seemed, had been a success, and thus Bianca’s new life began the moment the logo of the troupe was tattooed on her arm.

Trained in singing, dancing and acting, Bianca very quickly grew to love her new life, and the theatre used by the Tian Theatre Troupe easily became her new home.  Though many people stayed and left as the different productions cycled in, Bianca became fairly close to her sibling hybrids and the resident stage manager who had started working there when she joined.  She was also given a basic education particularly focused around the arts to help give her enough knowledge to manage backstage positions as well as study up on theatre-related reading material.

Unfortunately, as the youngest member of the troupe, Bianca’s place on the stage was at stake as soon as she started to grow up.  She could sense it too, as she was pushed to backstage duties more and more often. Sidney felt it best to pawn her off for a new, younger, and scrappier hybrid that would be far cuter for the audience than a bratty, teenage girl.  Though the stage manager, Adelaide, fought for her, being one of the few that could (as the hybrids had little say in the matter), her attempts failed and Bianca was pawned off to the government in exchange for them finding the Tian Theatre Troupe someone more suited to their productions.

Being sold off a second time marks a second age for Bianca.  But even so, she just wants to find a way to get back on that stage again, no matter what it takes.

Kain's too much of a bookish grump, but he's not that bad when she gets to talk to him! Even though he looks like he wants to run away half the time.  She's fond of the Valerian - if only he could open up a bit more! Bianca keeps seeing this strange Dahlia in the halls.  She's always with this weird cat Chamomile, and they're hardly ever apart.  She hasn't talked to her yet, but she wonders why she always looks so nervous half the time?Another pesky Valerian?  But they're so annoying!  Bianca hasn't had the liberty of talking to Katsu yet, but she wonders whether she should.  He's way too big - those wings could block out the entire sun if he spread them far enough!Another social butterfly?  Wow, and here she was thinking she was the only one!  Sure, she might be a Valerian, but she's chatty enough to listen to her ramble on, and on, plus she likes treeswings! What is there not to like?

Fun Fact #3: She is not a morning person in the slightest.

PEOPLE IN BIANCA’S LIFE:
Zoe - A hybrid with a Harlequin Rabbit Root.  Zoe was three years older than Bianca, and was essentially her big sister.  Due to her calm, composed, and timid temperament, Zoe was one of the few people who Bianca would listen to unquestionably.
James - A hybrid with a Lion Root, notorious for his messy, mane-like hair that took a two-hour preparation before shows.  James was one of the oldest of the hybrids bought, now in his twenties, and was a quirky, chatty person in Bianca’s life that inspired her love for pranks.
Angel - A hybrid with a Persian Cat Root, the same age as James.  Angel was one of the more reserved and adaptable of the group, but also gave Bianca her creative side and inspired her to start crafting.  They also taught her how to use makeup.
Adelaide Rouge - The stage manager Bianca grew close to, and a non-hybrid.  She was sweet and caring to everyone working on the show, though she was notorious for her temper when anyone would tamper with her props or backstage items.  Bianca easily misses Adalaide the most.

- Likes/Dislikes:

Likes:

Theatre. Bianca is all about that Broadway glamour, and feels most at home when in the theatre.  She’s skilled in dancing, singing, and acting, having done it her whole life - though she’s quite embarrassed about letting others see her sing alone!

People. Bianca has always been curious of the world beyond the stage, and the audience she could always see but never could never interact with.  She loves meeting new individuals and making new friends, as back home the friends she made were normally predetermined for her. Part of her extroverted nature is also because of her own insecurity.

Crafting. She loved studying how the crew would make costume/set sketches and started practicing drawing and making various crafts on her own.  She’s not quite the best at it, but she tries.

Cute, colourful, extravagant things like fireworks, parades and cupcakes. It makes her feel like she’s at home, and it’s also something she never really got the chance to see before.

Coffee.  The members of her troupe would always have one in the morning at 8am and then the other around 2pm ritualistically.  She says she likes it, but she actually hates the taste (unless it has a load of caramel-flavouring) and has it solely to show that she’s ‘an adult’.

While we’re at it, caramel-flavoured anything.  When she was younger she was given caramel toffees when she did something well, and it’s a habit that’s been ingrained in her.  If you give her a caramel toffee, she will probably be your best friend forever.

Dislikes:

Her vulnerability. Bianca believes it makes her a weaker person, and hesitates to let anyone see this side of her, even if all these thoughts eat her up inside.  Besides, everyone else is always happy, so why can’t she be?

Loneliness. Bianca’s troupe constantly changed every production except for a few people.  She’s always felt like people have left her, and she’s terrified that someone will again.

Hats.  They’re uncomfortable for her ears, even if they’re made specifically for her.  The exception to this are headbands and bows.

Math. Bianca is slow at learning it, particularly because she had an theatre-focused education.  She, however, frequently claims that it’s because “fractions are stupid”.
Needles.  The hybrids at the Tian Theatre Troupe were frequently given vaccinations to soothe the concerns of some of the production’s more vocal members and ensure they wouldn’t spread disease.  Bianca hasn’t stopped being terrified of them since.

Cold weather. Bianca likes letting her wings breathe, and its harder to in cold conditions.  Her desert-thriving root only complicates the matter.

- Ability:  Immune to most poisons.
