► PRINCE DEAKONG

"Glory to me, glory to the High Elves of this bountiful kingdom... And utmost thanks to the illustrious courtesans across our lands."

Appearance

Eyes: Light blue irises, sharp-looking eyes.
Skin: Warmer brown skin-- slight reddish undertones.
Hair: Robin's egg blue hair. Has short bangs. His long straight hair reaches his buttocks. He has shorter trapezoidal-trimmed hair that rests on each side of his face, down to his chin.
Body type: Lithe body type with extreme muscle. Most noticeably thick in his biceps and thighs (à la body builders in real life)
Special notes for Deakong's appearance: Most notable is his missing left leg (ends right before the knee), which he has a gold-plated, spike-studded prosthetic for.

Clothing, piercings: Most often wearing the Holy Kingdom's Army 'outfit' (is it really an outfit if it's just a few pieces of small fabric, a helmet, some pauldrons, a cape, and high heels?). Oftentimes wearing kohl makeup around his eyes.
For piercings, he has three sets in each ear (lobes, upper lobes, forward helix), nipples, bellybutton, prince albert, frenum ladder. ...Always adorned in gold jewelry: most often wearing various necklaces, finger rings, arm-bands, wrist and ankle bangles, cuffs, and circlets/headbands. If there are gems in the jewelry, they are often light blue.

Mannerisms: Straight, strict posture, even in complete privacy.
Either smirking over private memories, getting his ego preened, or finds you so stupid it's funny to him. Other times seen contemplative, 'broody'-- probably just thinking strategy or feeling bored.
Eloquent speech with a clear tone of voice, though he is prone to cursing if particularly heated.
Hardly has a need for getting out of his prosthetic unless he's in bed or taking a bath-- this means he has no stability/balance issues/disadvantages with his prosthetic on. He's worked with and around his missing leg and some, but obviously prefers his prosthetic as he is more mobile.
It's fairly rare to see him looking disheveled, even in the heat of battle.

Personality

  • Deakong makes no time for emotional/personal pursuits. No exceptions. In his words, he's 'married to his career'.
  • Well-versed and well-trained in many things. It's easier to name things he doesn't understand.
  • Will do anything within his power to continue gaining power. Deakong doesn't mind giving empty promises to people to get them on his side-- high or low positions of power, he doesn't mind stooping low or appearing high-and-mighty, depending on his goals.
  • It's hard to say that he's cunning when he's so open about what he wants in all of his pursuits...
  • Very spoiled and hardly understands that he was born into so much power; haughty. The world is his oyster.
  • His humongous libido is very much a part of his personality. The man leaves a trail of pregnant women in his wake (lol). If he's not blood-thirsty, he's touch-thirsty.
  • Can come off very callous and cold to anyone that doesn't currently interest him or show 'use' to him.
  • Tosses his never-ending money at whatever catches his eye-- usually courtesans.

History

On his species/living:
  • Deakong was born into a ruthless empire of Elves who constantly expand for dominance across the land. Because he's a Prince of the whole Kingdom, he has an extreme patriotism for his people and their cruel accomplishments, as it benefits him completely.
  • For many centuries, his family had been in complete rule of this burgeoning Kingdom. These High Elves consider their rule to be something akin to the horrifying concept of manifest destiny; and as such, have conquered many other species' lands and their peoples.
  • High Elves themselves are not too extraordinary: it just seems to be more of a 'luck of the draw' in that they were the first species many many many years ago to travel far and wide, and push their weight where they could in hopes of keeping their population growing. The blood-lust and desire for complete conquering is very much a 'modern' ideal.
  • The High Elves have become the major hub of technology, culture, politics, and religion, due to their widespread rule and iron grip on their Kingdom. With slaves and poor servants shepherding the world on their shoulders, the High Elves use this to propel themselves further at lightning speeds.
  • Fashion is subverted from the norm that we, in our reality, would scoff at. Women stay more or less covered in """masculine""" ways because it's befitting them in a dashing way, and men are scantily clad because it makes them look desirable and 'worth' more. It's gotten to the point that no one finds this fashion uncomfortable or strange, so you will never see a male character in this Kingdom second-guess their outfits. [This is a not-so-subtle jab at the way licensed creators treat their female characters. So... 'Sexy, assured, powerfully dressed woman' is how every male acts within the Kingdom if they can help it. And much like a man would get laughed at for wearing a loincloth irl, if a woman does that in this Kingdom, the same would happen to her because 'she's better than that'.]
Childhood, adolescence, young adulthood:
  • Deakong was the third and final child of the Royal Revered Highnesses of the Holy Kingdom. Not only was he given the most berth compared to his older brother and sister, not much was expected of him, and he took full advantage of this, even as a child.
  • The young master Deakong, while not slacking on his studies, almost seemed more interested in child-like things; playing especially, interested in animals and sport. These things weren't hyper-focuses for him, however, so the King and Queen allowed Deakong these nonsensical short times to play compared to his older siblings. This caused much malcontent among the elder siblings, and instead of picking on their baby brother, they only managed to ignore him further. Curiously enough, this didn't hurt the boy. He quite liked being left alone by his family.
  • Somehow, this curve of being left alone pulled some reverse psychology, because as the young master Deakong began to turn into a young man, his parents seemed to gain more interest in this child as a potential heir, due to his unwavering, loud patriotism.
  • Unfortunately, Deakong began to understand that his parents were starting to strike plans to put him at the head of the heir-line with the sudden influx of potential suitors visiting the Royal Palace for him (the first and last time he had so many suitors visit)...
While he only enjoyed blood sport as a hobby at first, he didn't give his whims a second thought, joining the Royal Army to avoid ruling entirely; it just wasn't conventional for a Prince to turn King while also serving in the Army.
His whim worked, and with it he realized this is what he wanted all along. Not only was he quickly propelled from a simple Squire to a General in rank, but the people of his Kingdom seemed to find him almost god-like in his joining the dangerous Army; a Prince for the laymen, serving along his people he adored so much.
Adulthood/Current life:
  • While Deakong adored his work as a General, a bump in his life came when doing two-man military drill, a rough-and-tumble 'expedition' in densely wooded mountainside. It was unexpected, but a patch of lifeless area had, until this point, been unknown. And as Deakong trekked with his squad mate, a boulder came crushing through from above, killing his drill partner and leaving him trapped at the waist down. His left leg took the brunt of the crush. When they rescued Deakong, they couldn't bring the blood flow back to the left leg, and they had to amputate it at the knee.
  • Though there was a brief moment after recovering from his amputation that family, servants and slaves were quite worried about Deakong's mental state, it quickly turned from a 'loss' into a 'different challenge'; the man wasted no time kicking his fiery passion into high gear and compensating for this change. While it was aggravating at first for him on many levels, he spent most of his days in recovery getting his bearing with one leg.
And while he worked on his balance, he ordered a hefty prosthetic to compensate for his lack of a full leg. As the months wore on while the smiths and engineers worked together, around the clock, on Prince Deakong's prosthetic, the man himself began to train with the presumed weight of his glorious new leg on the way, already mastering one-legged balance. He was prepared when the prosthetic was done and properly fitted, and the Royal Family quickly ushered Deakong back into the limelight he adored, showing him safe, sound, and as strong as ever.
  • Right after his full recovery and return, he was tasked with journeying south of the Kingdom's homelands of the Island Continent to survey unknown lands, which were rumored to house a strange never-seen species. This species was the Orcs, and Deakong set up camp up in the harrowing mountaintops (which are considered evil by Orcish legend) for a year, researching the Orcs and their capabilities. He is more or less the reason the invasion started, for better or worse, for all parties involved.

Abilities

Unique Abilities

  • High Elf Constitution: High Elves can live up to 220 years on average.
High Elves also seem to be quite a bit stronger than humans-- lifting up to 170 lbs on average.
Skillset

  • Strategist: While there are more intelligent strategists that have stepped down due to Deakong's position of being the Holy Kingdom's Prince, Deakong himself is more than capable enough to be the General of the Kingdom-- he is at a Master level. He works best with land defenses.
  • Weapons: Most proficient with dual wielded short swords, but enjoys testing out most other close-range weapons. He hates bows and other various ranged weapons, but does well enough with those as well.
  • Strength: Deakong cannot stand the thought of what he was like before he furthered his strength (and with it, his physique). His lifting strength is triple his weight, and he does not shy away from sparring matches that frequent among his troops-- and though, at first, he was given leeway when sparring, he is now one of the most difficult of opponents... And this is in hands-only sparring, alone.
  • Sex: It speaks for itself... Shocking to none, he actually had a tutor for this 'subject' in his young adulthood.

Relationships

Trivia

  • He was born on December 3rd (Sagittarius♐)
  • Yep, the royal High Elves have no need for last names. That's just how important they are-- also, it just so happens to be illegal to name your child after the royal family.
... If there is a citizen that was serendipitously named before a Royal child was born and has that same name name, they will be required to change their name (and pay hefty tax for the inconvenience).
  • A horse lover: his family doesn't understand (but tolerates it), and his military peers refuse to warn him that sometimes riding into war horseback isn't the most useful way to go about it.
... Even though he bought and owns a stable, he has a special place in his heart for one Andalusian-esque horse he owns. He personally tends to that stallion's mane himself, which is something (considering even slaves and assistants tend to his hair). Its name is Tokor.
  • His favorite educational subjects usually involve blood sport or strategy.
