Mothpaw
A dopey looking young tom with scruffy fur from lack of proper grooming. He is a chesnut brown tabby with a cream colored underbelly and big amber eyes with misaligned pupils. This tail is fluffy and ususally has things like leaves, sticks and thorns caught in it. His tongue is large and usually stick out from his mouth when he's not eating. He is extremely thin due to refusing to eat typical food and only eating insects.
- His fur is usually a bit messy because he doesn't groom himself. Sometimes others will help him groom.
- His eyes are always looking in opposite directions. Never looks focused.
A bumbling and rather simple-minded, Mothsnap is non-verbal and has difficulty understanding verbal communication. Must often have things repeated to him, and even then he is prone to forgetting. It's a lucky day when he is able to respond to his name being called. He is also very naive and can be easily tricked by almost anyone. He is forever optimistic and endlessly amiable.
He loves growing herbs, digging for mushrooms andeating insects. When he was young, he would try to share the insects he'd caught with others, but gave up after they expressed their disinterest. Has a private garden in a place his clanmates don't normally go. He visits it often to attend to the flowers. It takes many years and a very harsh frost season for him to put together most of them are herbs.

Was born with the hope that he could one day be a suitable heir to the leadership of MistClan. Unfortunately, his neurological disorder made it obvious very early on that he would be unsuitable for leadership. His parents continued to dote on him, giving him their support and love despite it being whispered among the other in the clan that he would never amount to anything. Was born alongside 5 younger sisters.
He was made an apprentice alongside his sisters, but wasn't given an official mentor. He continued to be taught by his parents and was left to his own devices when they had duties to attend to. On these occasions, he would wander into the forest alone to find flowers. Eventually, Brambletooth noticed he was doing this and followed him to keep and eye out. She discovered he'd grown his own herb garden. From them on, he acted as medicine cat apprentice. At first it was debated on whether Mothpaw would be able to StarClan since he was unable to communicate whether or not he could. Once he joined Brambletooth at the Moonstream, it was discovered he could. During his visits to the Moonstream and at Gatherings, he develops an attachment to the StoneClan medicine cat, Littlepine, who he clings to whenever she's around.
After the death of Brambletooth, he became medicine cat though left most of the healing to the senior herb runners (medicine cat assistants that double as warriors). His tasks were mostly restricted to speaking with StarClan and growing herbs to make sure the supply remained well stocked. In situations when even the herb runners have been left panicked and clueless by particularly difficult patients, he's been known to step in and assist. On these occasions, he surprises everyone with the understand of herbs he possesses.

While often viewed as the scary old medicine cat because of her appearance, it never seemed to bother Mothsnap who would often show interest in what she was up to in the medicine cat's den.
Although Redclaw can sometimes be impatient, she has a soft spot for the medicine cat and he is one of her few close friends within the clan.
The leader of MistClan is quite uneasy at his position at medicine cat. He frequently underestimates his ability and privately fears that his clan will not be cared for after Brambletooth's death. Still, he does his best to have faith in StarClan that the right choice was made for MistClan's future.
A much smaller StoneClan cat who Mothsnap became very attached to. Since she was never able to have kits, she seems him as her's and much appreciates when they see each other at Gatherings and the Moonstream.
