"The Emperor's Curse"

There was once an emperor『Otaime』who no one could rival, ever since he made out the Empire for his conquests. The emperor raised a great army and faced down the eight kingdoms to seize the fragments of a powerful treasure that each kingdom possessed. But that hasn't stopped him from creating warring cliques that want to overthrow him and find out the secret behind his powers.

The emperor achieved his goal and took the remaining eight pieces to complete this magical item. He could not afford to allow anyone to find it, the treasure was too valuable and too unstable, so he covered up all the riches to keep them from being plundered. Under all the layers of protection the emperor had built, it was said that not even the highest of experts had been able to crack the wall.
No one really knew what he was protecting, Otaime decided to keep the existence of his treasure in secret.
But because of that, his kingdom would never fall.

Tired of these attacks, the emperor finally decided to speak about the treasure and answer the questions he heard, but he lied.
He said that the treasure was a cursed relic, and that it was important to contain the dangerous magic inside of it, so he sealed it away far in the mountains.
He only wanted to protect his kingdom, his people, his dynasty.
He spoke so confidently and boldly that it was a matter of wonder. A simple statement was enough to set everyone back.
Although all of the words and hints that the emperor had given them were entirely lies, the people always believed in his words.
The new rumours started to spread quickly, but of course, a part of them realized that it was all a lie.

There was an astute family of wolves under the name of "Gin"
They were too eager and merciless in their search for riches and would do anything to get them.
Therefore, the adventurers were no longer sitting idly here and they began to move a little faster as they scanned the surroundings.
After exploring the entirety of the building for days, the group finally found the spot where the the main room is located.
They were not planning an attack, they were going to infiltrate into the fortress. Confident about their skills, they finished the preparation and ran into the fortress at night to commit the first move.
They were able to successfully break into the fortress, trespassing all the barriers and guards at an incredible speed. Their coordination was splendid.
The emperor was notified and promptly fled back to the room the treasure was hidden. He could not believe someone would be able to infiltrate the Imperial Palace without being detected.
Otaime was able to reach to the room and took the treasure with him which it was inside a tiny chest.
But what the emperor didn't expect, was a surprise attack.
Right before after opening the great gold doors, a great Silver Wolf appeared from within.
Its shimmering white fur and clear silver eyes was the last thing Otaime could see, and thus, he fell down to the ground and died with no words ever spoken.
In the end, the emperor was defeated by the beast, whose stole its most precious treasure.

Suddenly the emperor's fortress began to collapse, but the wolves ran away in time, and disappeared without a trace.
No one heard of the Silver Wolves again, but their history had already become a legend.
The fortress was destroyed, only the main pagoda and two of the towers survived.
Otaime's empire was lost along with its emperor, His death was slowly buried and forgotten, as the day passed and the night passed.
But his spirit at the gates still remained.
After his death, the emperor wakes up in the afterlife to the sad sight of his own tragic death.
He expresses sorrow that he has been unable to do anything against that beast.
However, he is found by a demon, who explains to him how they are now trapped in the dark spirits realm.
It is revealed that the people who possess the great magics (holy items) have been corrupted into dark spirits.
He realized then that he has no power over the spirits realm.
The demon answers by offering him unlimited power only if he is able to defeat him in a battle, but if he loses the demon would take his soul.
Otaime accepts the deal, and the battle of the demon and the emperor has begun.
Many spirits appear in the room to observe the battle from afar.
The demon makes the first attack.
The emperor tries to defend himself.
With his six demon arms. The blue flames shoot through the entire battlefield.
After a quick and impressive swing, Otaime parries it and can counter it by passing it to his left side but the demon quickly reacts and attacks directly at him as he suffers a mortal wound to his stomach.
The emperor goes down to one knee.
With just a few breaths of air left, he notices in the open cut inside there was only a deep void, Otaime felt no pain.
A smoke dark cloud closes in in front of him, he's filled with so much anger, so much hate and fury.
Otaime gets up again ready for his next attack.
It swings at the demon with great force. But this time... It had an aura of a superior spirit. His attack was able to reach the demon's easily.
It swung at his neck in a similar fashion to a sword strike. And defeated the demon with his own claws.

And Otaime was covered in pride. It was a battle between those who took pride in their own power and those who felt they had to. It was the final battle that led to the appearance of the demon king.
Before disappearing, as the demon promised, he granted him with a great power. He's now the demon he's become, The Emperor, The King.
Consumed by the power, he's gone from being a young emperor to a tyrant and ruler, the Demon King.
He vows to reclaim what was once his.
With his new kingdom, there was nothing that could stop him.
Ready to start with a new life and craving for revenge.
