*NOTES -- NOT A COMPLETE BIO*

- Symone is born and raised in the slums of Mexico City with her older brother Mason. They endure physical and mental abuse from their parents until both parents pass away when Symone is 14 & Mason is 17. Mason takes on the responsibility of caring for Symone by himself, and they survive mostly off of money they receive from odd jobs and occasionally stealing when they are desperate.

- When she is 16, Symone meets a local drug lord and begins a complicated relationship with him. She does not love him, but he offers protection and security for Symone & her brother. Mason greatly disapproves, but Symone convinces him not to do anything that the two of them might regret. For four years, Symone is abused mentally, physically, and sexually, until Mason finally steps in to defend his sister against her partner's actions. This nearly costs Mason his life, and he is left brutally injured before Symone's partner leaves her to patch up and comfort her brother. That is when she decides that they both have endured enough.

- Despite knowing the risks, Symone anonymously leaks information to the authorities about a location that her partner & his gang often use for their drug operations. The authorities raid the location, and everyone involved is immediately arrested. Afterward, Symone & Mason pack up what little belongings they have and flee from Mexico City. They spend the rest of their lives on the open road, never settling in one place for long.

- At 27, Symone is diagnosed with Leukemia. She dies a year later. Mason dies of the same disease at age 33 (2 years after his sister).

- Symone is sentenced to Heaven, but grows bored and restless, feeling consistently out of place due to having lived a hard life mostly spent in fear & hunger in stark contrast to the luxuries that Heaven offers her. To appease her, the divine council gives her the freedom to traverse the realms (Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, & Earth) under the contract as a freelance assistant.

- When Mason dies, he is wrongly sentenced to Hell by some mistake or mix-up; when his innocence is proven, the divine council does not prioritize the repeal of his sentence, leaving him to remain in Hell. Devastated & angry at their carelessness and incompetence, Symone unlawfully abandons her responsibilities and seeks refuge in the shadows between realms. She remains there for so long, however, that the shadows take a toll on her both mentally and physically, feeding off of her deep-seated resentment and manifesting it into dark energy which then consumes Symone and turns her into something not quite demonic, but definitely not human nor heavenly. (Later on, it is made known that these characteristics she adopts are shared with those of an illusive species classified as the T'ila or "Shadow Dwellers".)

- After hiding away in the shadows for several months, Symone takes to Earth and seeks out a renowned necromantic coven, whose leader mentors her in necromancy and the dark arts. (During this period, Symone and Azrael become enemies and have many encounters/altercations.) The leader of the coven develops an attraction to Symone and attempts to force her into marriage, but she injures him before escaping back into the shadows between realms. She spends the next few years searching for Mason's remains so that she might bring his spirit back to Earth and give him a better life.

- Azrael eventually finds her and manages to convince her to return to Heaven with him and face the heavenly council. As a reward for turning herself in, the council shows leniency by sentencing her to a permanent life in Purgatory instead of Hell. Azrael, however, gives her a better opportunity by making her his assistant, therefor her permanence in Purgatory is void, allowing her to go where he goes or where he tells her. She does not work well with him initially, but she does what he asks and tolerates him.

- Not long after he takes her in, a warrant for Azrael's arrest is ordered on behalf of charges of opening the gates between Earth & Purgatory, allowing the dead to escape into the realm of the living. Both Azrael and Symone flee their post and spend the next several months on a hunt for the culprit truly responsible in order to prove Azrael's innocence. During this journey, Symone falls in love with Azrael, but doesn't realize it until later.

- After Azrael's innocence & title are finally restored, he & Symone continue working and living together -- now functioning as a couple. Mason is granted permission to visit his sister in Purgatory and is finally offered the opportunity to live in Heaven as an ascended demon, but he refuses, choosing to remain in Hell due to his hopes of changing a few things down there for the better. (And for other reasons that he won't admit; his sister catches on quickly.)

- Symone & Azrael's most recent assignment is to take down the necromantic coven that Symone previously associated herself with.

*FUTURE (POSSIBLE) EVENTS*

- Symone & Azrael will become acquainted with Syre x Wikus, Clone x Wither, Remiel x Charlene, Belle x Marlene, and possibly others in a plot that is currently in development.

- Symone & Azrael will eventually marry (and possibly conceive children).

- If Symone & Azrael do have children, they will have a set of twins.

- Symone's former abusive partner may rear his ugly head back into the picture as a demon.

Azrael

[ Fiancé ] The couple didn't get off to a great start, with Azrael being the archangel of death whose job is to lead the souls of the recently deceased to their destined afterlife, and Symone being a necromancer which sometimes made that job very difficult. It didn't help that the wraith had a particular loathing for the archangel as a byproduct of Mason -- her brother -- being wrongfully sentenced to Hell. But in the end, the one she was, and has always been, truly angry at is herself, feeling somehow responsible for her brother's fate and that she could have done something to prevent it. Tired of running away from both herself and her problems, she agreed to go with Azrael when he convinced her to face the heavenly council and receive her conviction. It was only after she forgave him (and herself for the most part) that her relationship with Azrael began to improve. Add several more crumbling tiers of catastrophic adventures into the scenario, and the two have become nothing less than inseparable.

Mason

[ Brother ] Mason & Symone have always been incredibly close, from their early life all the way into their present afterlife. She cannot recall a time in which he never had her back, and likewise, she would go to nearly any lengths for him. Neither Heaven or Hell could come between the bond that these two have forged in death and suffering. Though she still finds it difficult to accept his circumstances, especially considering how he came upon them to begin with, she is happy so long as he is happy.

Phoenix (Eden)

[ Friend ] It is probably safe to say that Phoenix is Symone's best friend. The two met under rather unfortunate circumstances, but the seraph helped Symone when it wasn't necessary, and for that, she will always be appreciative. From then on, their encounters, while lacking no amount of witticism and snark, were rather lax and easygoing. Symone found herself spending much of any free time she had in Phoenix's company simply because very few things can keep the wraith occupied when she isn't working. Over time, the relationship between the two simply grew stronger.
