PERSONALITY:Belying his somber resting expression and tendency to shirk interaction whenever possibly, Iggy isn't half as unfriendly as he might appear. For all his silence, towering stature and formidable frame, he's terribly gentle and unimposing. Iggy is quite clumsy socially, resulting in a lasting disconnect between himself and others his age. No, he's not the warmest or friendliest among strangers, but he does care - even if he struggles to express it. Unfortunately, this behavior is not entirely lost even with those he trusts. Iggy prefers to keep his distance - literally - regardless of the bond he establishes with another. Caring deeply for others and desiring their company isn't enough to drown his fear of physical intimacy, which varies widely from one day to the next. Although facing this fear has allowed him to secure a job as an officer and carry out his responsibilities without interference, he struggles still to allow physical contact unless out of necessity. Even so, he's working hard to overcome it.
It was this fear, in many ways, that prompted his seclusion as a youth. From then on, it has taken root in an existing reticence and robbed him of many close, meaningful relationships. But that's not to say growth is an impossibility. Even in the face of his struggles, Iggy expresses care for his loved ones as well as he knows how. He's quite paternal, and his tendency for strict rule-following can make him a bit of a control freak. Overprotective and jealous, he will go to any lengths to keep his family and friends safe and well cared for - much to their chagrin. His patience seldom runs dry, and although irritation seems to be a constant, Iggy never seems to lose his temper. At least, not that he's spoken of... but perhaps some things are best left unsaid.
Although it seems he would like very much to be seen as strong, removed and confident, it isn't difficult to tell that his appearance of composure is only skin deep.
| OTHER:- Iggy is an insomniac. As such, he often appears drowsy and worn. It's incredibly rare that he enjoys the luxury of a good night's sleep; in fact, he's far likelier to fall asleep in unorthodox locations, sometimes in the middle of the day.
- As mentioned before, he suffers from haphephobia, or a fear of touch. He has taken steps to conquer this fear and as a result it seldom hinders his activities in day-to-day life. Prolonged, unexpected or especially intimate physical contact, however, does cause him great discomfort. The severity depends heavily on his mood, though the worst of circumstances are liable to result in violent outbursts or panic attacks. He prefers not to mention his phobia if he can avoid it.
- Iggy is a medical school dropout. Because of this, he has considerable medical knowledge and can provide sufficient first aid if needed.
- He plays the violin and has been practicing for over 10 years. He isn't the type to play in front of anyone, but he does like to play on the roof of his apartment complex where he won't bother his neighbors as much.
