Overseer of part of Research & Remove, the branch of the COR that serves as both army and study. Crvendach's domain is the scientific side - he supervises the acquisition of potentially-dangerous artifacts and has ultimate say over whether to destroy, disenchant, or preserve them. Though, as he's oft busy, his underlings handle most of the day-to-day.
In his most insecure moments, his job feels like a gift of pity - given to him to fill Overseer slots after arresting a handful of Shards members, a task he feels anyone could've accomplished. Feeling as if nothing defines him uniquely as an individual, he skirts from fairweather friendship to friendship, finding something to admire about everyone except himself. Distance has kept him from everyone save Magnotris, an unexpected (but stalwart) friend who he feels safest around.
