Tw!Dread is my main avatar on the website Tattered World. She is an eager, hardworking graduate who is now doing everything she can to train and protect the Enchanted Forest should the ever present danger of the Withering rear its head. Her hair originally appeared umber, though with the most recent events of the Dragon's Reign, its color has largely been lost other than the consistently inspired braid she dons (thankfully the color there came back.) It is unsure yet whether the color will return, or if she will remain gray.

With Palentines' Picnic and the magical spell that allowed Celariel and Dread to share their feelings directly, some color has returned, but not to her hair- her eyes now share the beautiful jade green color of the one she loves.

She does not realize this, but Tw!Dread is actually a kith herself! When she found Hope, she actually stumbled out of the Tatters directly- she believed it was her first allies, Opal and Citrine, who simply guided her to the safety of Hope, but her own Kith abilities helped her survive the trek through the Tatters. She does not remember before reaching Hope, though elements of the Golden Colosseum do feel familiar. Whether she may ever find out or not, it is unclear, or whether her own kith may reveal this to her someday. Opal at least realizes, but Tw!Dread seems happiest as she is, with no desire to poke at the past for now. Only securing the future is important.

TW!Dread is overall brave and daring, willing to jump in and help every which way.(In terms of site personalities as how they are assigned for npcs on sight, she would be Brave Primary, Naive Secondary, and Curious Tertiary.) She has a special connection to the Enchanted Forest, as her first encounter in the magical realm and meeting the Princess immediately shifted her worldview. To say it was love at first sight is probably accurate, and the sudden rearing of the Withering and Princess Celariel's sudden need for engagement sealed in her mind that she would do anything and everything to help the Princess, to show her devotion and love through anything the Princess may desire. When interacting with the Princess, TW!Dread matches her cantor and rhymes, viewing this as a show of respect for her.

TW!Dread believes in truth, and justice, and the good in people, though she also can be impulsive, can hold grudges, and does not always think things through. Regardless, though, her heart is in the right place, and you couldn't find anyone more loyal once she is on your side.

TW!Dread showed up in Hope one day and immediately enrolled- no one is quite sure where she came from, but she was eager and willing to help with all that she could, though at times you could tell she was dreaming of more. With Lycus' discovery of the Enchanted Forest, TW!Dread quickly went to visit, and fell hard for the Princess. So she devoted herself to training, to becoming the knight worthy of possibly catching the Princess' eye.

However, with the rise of the Withering and Princess Celariel's need for a suitor, TW!Dread doubled her efforts, offering herself as suitor to support the Princess in every way, and hopefully stave off both the Withering and Cela's inspiration loss. Luckily the Withering was staved off, and Princess Celariel postponed the wedding, thought the two remain engaged for the future.

The Illuminary Gala was an extremely stressful time for TW!Dread- hearing that there was a potential threat on Princess Celariel's life, she put everything she had into trying to figure out who the potential traitor might be. Alas, mysteries are not always her strong suit, and with the conniving Dynrial preying on her insecurities, and seeing Celariel anxious and stressed, TW!Dread was at a loss for what she could do other than pick up the pieces at the feast and try to be there when she could. When the Rejuvination Ritual began, and everything went wrong, all she could do is watch, helpless, powerless as Celariel transformed into the Dragon, taking in the dastardly Narrator's magic into her own, all her rage and fury over everything that had happened to her all her life brought forth in a great flame.

TW!Dread stayed in the throne room, while most of her kith worked with the slowly growing resistance, helping the other residents as TW!Dread continued to desperately get through the Celariel. It was to no avail though- her final plea led to the Dragon defying her love, and throwing her into the dungeon. Devoid of almost all hope, it took everything in her, and the help of her tiny gemwing Benitoite, to not take a new role as The Victor and simply join The Dragon, casting aside all of her own empathy and will in order to still be by her side.

But hope was not truly lost- all of the prisoners, including TW!Dread, were freed from the prison through a very messy but effective watergun and pie battle, and seeing the Dragon hesitate, go against the Narrator, TW!Dread knew that together, they could free Celariel from this prison she had cast on herself. Working with the resistance, Othidar was able ot finally reach through the Celariel, and she cast the Narrator out, a new Rejuvination Ritual saved Celariel from the twisted leylines the Narrator had surrounded her with, and the Forest was saved. Celariel now vows to face this ominous threat the Narrator left, but not to follow in the footsteps of those that relied on sacrifice in the past, but to surpass them. Her vow is everything TW!Dread could have hoped for her, even if she doesn't yet know where she might fit just yet now. But whatever the case may be, she is happy to serve her Princess now.

Celariel

Celariel is the one who holds TW!Dread's heart, quite literally in one way in the form of the engagement ring TW!Dread gave her recently, as it holds the stone that holds part of her soul, though neither fully realize the significance. When Celariel put her betrothal on the line in order to help save her kingdom, TW!Dread knew she would need to step to the plate, and she did, winning the pudding war and named Victor for her bravery and aptitude. While the wedding at the time was called off, that moment was truly the start of their allyship, whether either of them realized it or not.

While she is not able to be involved in all of the courtly affairs, TW!Dread works tirelessly to help where she can, to learn what she needs to know for if she is to take her place as Queen Consort. Celariel is busy, however, so TW!Dread works to train, to master weapons and be ready should a battle come to the forest.

The gala was...hard. Harder on TW!Dread than she tries to admit- seeing Celariel in so much pain, so anxious, TW!Dread wanted nothing more than to take her place, take her pain, but all she could do was jump in to help when she was able, cleaning up after the food disaster, reaching out towards Celariel when she had a moment to spare but to little avail. When Celariel transformed, Dread's heart broke, her hair turning ashen as she tried again and again to reach through to Celariel, until she herself was thrown in the dungeon with the rest of the prisoners. She nearly lost all hope, nearly giving up herself and all that she was if it gave her a chance to be by Celariel's side again, but thankfully the rescue and hearing Celariel's laugh, as brief as it was, sparked what remaining hope remained.

Celariel broke free, but things were indeed changed- as much as TW!Dread would have liked to be carefree and back to how they were before, both of them had been hurt during the Gala. Still, they were able to work through the hurt, both learning and growing from the experience. And now, with hope returned and a plan for the future, they have vowed to stand togetherfor what may come. (Celarierl belongs to Tattered World)

Valeria
TW!Dread's journey to the Golden Colosseum practically led her to Valeria- someone so much like herself in many ways. To say TW!Dread admires her is probably an understatement, and Valeria has left quite an impression on her. More than anything TW!Dread wishes to train, to learn, to improve with Valeria, both for the honorable reason of wishing to be strong enough to protect Celariel and the Enchanted Forest, and the more selfish reason to simply impress Val. Practically blinded by her radiance, TW!Dread takes Valeria's battle instructions to heart- but perhaps she should be more careful. Celariel has vowed to not rely on sacrifice, and yet the Colosseum is dripping with the heroic sacrifice of battle- TW!Dread may need to take more caution than Valeria may, or her own light will snuff out too soon. Dynrial
TW!Dread has a...conflicted relationship with the elven courtier. While he did not end up being the one directly threatening Celariel's life during the Gala, he was reveling in others pain and misery. And she has held a grudge. She does not trust him, but she will not do anything against Celariel's wishes- if she still finds him useful, she will put up with him. Doesn't stop her from making keep as close an eye on him as she can. Recently she heard he was busy working on something, so she confronted him about it. And now he has passed his job onto her- no matter, she will do whatever needs doing, it can't be that hard right? (Dynrial belongs to Tattered World)
